The Laredo cabin at the Doves Rest ranch was wonderful!! Everything was as advertised!! The views were beautiful. It’s super close to the Palo Duro State Park and made for a great hiking experience and vacation!!

We had an awesome stay. The Laredo was the perfect cabin for us. Clean to the highest!!! And so comfortable!! But the views were so amazing!!! The patio was the place to be, with one of the feeders just a very short distance. The staff checked on us frequently through text, Which was great. Hope to xome back some day.

We desperately needed some rest and relaxation after a crazy summer and to prepare ourselves for the fall workload. The Laredo was just what the doc ordered and it delivered perfectly. Peaceful, quiet, cozy, relaxing and plenty of beautiful sights from the canyon -- just beautiful in the park as well! Thank you and we will definitely be returing!

My family of 5 stayed very comfortably in this cabin. The two littles on the bunkbeds, my teenager in one room and me and my husband in the master bedroom. The bed was very comfortable, A/C worked flawlessly (a must at the end of July), and check-in/-out was a breeze. Although it was very hot outside when we were there, the back porch (with gorgeous views of the canyon) remained quite cool and comfortable to sit underneath in the evenings. We also enjoed the little walking path around the cabins, which had great views & we several horned lizards (we were all super excited to see these little guys in the wild). The audad came up one evening and we even saw a coyote slinking behind the herd. All-in-all, it was a fantastic trip, in a great cabin, with unforgettable views. I would definitely recommend to family and friends and we hope to return some day as well!

We actually ended up booking and staying at their Comanche house because we needed extra room. Omg! The views were spectacular and the pictures do not do it justice. The house had absolutely everything you would need. The patio was our favorite place to hang out. We got lucky with the weather and enjoyed the patio most of all. We were in Palo Duro for my nephews destination wedding at the canyon. While we got lucky with weather it still did rain the day before the wedding and we were afraid we’d have to change all the arrangements. I phoned Sharon at Dove’s Cabin and she was beyond helpful in the thought we might have to have the small reception at Comanche because of its amazing views and covered patio. Sharon was so helpful in the moment of chaos. Luckily the weather cleared up and we didn’t need Comanche but it was such a relief to know it was a last minute option if needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Comanche and would highly recommend it.

We had an amazing time at the Laredo. Pictures don’t do it justice. Amazing view off back porch and you must walk the grounds - beautiful property. Love seeing the Aoudad Sheep - came within 20 feet of us. Kitchen had all of the amenities you could ask for. Hiking PDC was amazing. We will return and will certainly stay again at this property.

We loved this cabin. It was our first time in the area. Doves Rest showed up as an ad on one of my social medias and I'm so lucky it did. The location was perfect for the canyon. It had a beautiful view. It was perfectly stocked with evening we needed. The communication was wonderful. We didn't need anything so we didn't need to reach out to them. But they gave us ample opportunity to do so. I really, really hope we can make it back some day. Thank you so much!

The Laredo cabin at Dove's Rest was absolutely perfect for our family of 5! The accomodations were exactly as described and pictured. The views of the canyon were relaxing with late afternoon and early morning visits of 7 to 21 aoudads grazing just outside the cabin. Although the temperatures were above 100 each day, we were able to go into the canyon early in the mornings for 3 to 6 mile hikes on the trails. Great place and highly recommend to others!

The cabin was perfect for trip to see our daughter graduate from WTAMU. The view of the canyon from the back porch was so peaceful and inspiring. The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed for our long weekend. The hosts were great about communicating with us as the trip approached and the checkin process was effortless. The special touches—like having coffee pods and sugar, a bottled water dispenser and binoculars—really made us feel like valued guests. Would definitely recommend this cabin if you need a retreat from hustle and bustle.

Spacious, comfortable, & clean rental for our family of 4 + small dog. The back windows of the cabin face east, so be sure to catch the sunrise from the living room, or enjoy your morning coffee on the back patio. The star gazing at night is great too. The rockers & swing on the patio were awesome! There is a pavilion area overlooking the canyon just a short walk from this cabin... You will most likely see the barbary sheep passing through the property & at night we also heard coyotes! We loved the built in shampoo/conditioner in the showers & there is plenty of hot water! There is additional storage throughout the cabin. You may want to bring a few extra hangers, if you plan on using the closets. The kitchen was fully stocked, but additional flatware would have been nice to have, especially if our party had been larger. There are three TVs all with directv, & the living room TV having a roku option as well. WIFI works very well in the cabin. Owners are very helpful and quick to respond. If hiking in Palo Duro State Park be sure to stop at the Trading Post for a delicious burger and bird viewing opportunity! Sad Monkey Mercantile just down the road has great coffee, souvenirs, and even a few groceries. Canyon, TX is just a short drive away if you need a Wal-Mart. The convenience of this cabin would be hard to beat...just a couple miles from the state park! Overall we had a wonderful stay and would 10/10 stay again!

This place was awesome. We only stayed one night but were wishing we had been able to stay longer. They location was perfect for the canyon entrance. The cabin was very charming and comfortable. We saw lots of wildlife during our short stay.

The cabin was absolutely perfect for my family of 4, and could have slept a couple more very comfortably. The view is incredible, and we had the pleasure of seeing a big family of audad every evening in our backyard. It is well appointed and had everything we needed for our stay.

After mistaken information (cabin, door code) that was sent to us for check-in was figured out, about 30 minutes later and in pitch darkness, the kids who were traveling separate from us were able to check in...they were very impressed... we arrived in darkness and it felt like Christmas eve... could not wait to see what the view would be. The cabin was beautiful, though, clean, and ample for 4 adults and 2 little ones under 2. The kitchen was supplied with pretty much anything we needed, the washer and dryer were handy... the fireplace was beautiful and had enough firewood... i could go on and on... the main thing is you won't regret staying here... worth every penny... and we can't wait to come back and enjoy it all over again. The rockers and swing in the porch were wonderful!!

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for our trip to Palo Duro Canyon. The Laredo was fully stocked with everything we needed and more. There is a grill with extra propane and plenty of wood for the indoor fireplace. We saw Aoudad sheep out the back door and rose to the sunrise over the canyon every morning. Kids played baseball in the backyard overlooking the canyon. A few short minutes to the state park entrance. A minute from the newly opened Sad Monkey Mercantile which we absolutely loved to have a beer or hot chocolate and shopping after a long day of hiking.

This was the most beautiful, well- appointed, guest focused vacation stay we have ever experienced. You will love the quiet, stunning landscapes. The sunrises and sunsets are a must to watch. The beds are super comfortable. The space is very user friendly and easily accommodates several people. I have endless positive feedback. The hosts were immediately responsive with the small door code glitch when we checked in. At every turn, if we needed something, it was already there for us. Such a thoughtful vacation space. We are already planning our return trip.

Overall this experience was amazing once we got to the cabin. Getting to the cabin was a challenge. We never got sent the detailed instructions on how to get there so we spent 30 minutes trying to find it. Also, the wifi in the cabin was not working. Other than that we had a great time and are just grateful we made it there!

The Laredo cabin had the most beautiful canyon views. Sitting on the porch was our favorite. We saw numerous Audad or Barbary sheep. We were so thrilled. Though we were short some linens when we got there the on-site hosts were very gracious and responsive to our call. I highly recommend Doves Rests Cabins

We very much enjoyed our stay in the Laredo cabin. It had everything we could possibly need and was a perfect set up for travel with our young teen grandkids. Close access to the canyon and canyon views were a plus. Loved watching the sun rise each morning in a rocker on the porch with my coffee. Without a doubt , we will be back. Thanks for everything. Another great Dove's Rest cabin!

This is the second Dove's Rest we've stayed at. Love them. Clean, easy to book and access. I don't know who designs and decorates these cabins, but they do an excellent job. And comfort and handiness is built in. This is one of the gated cabins that the goats can wander near. I think they enjoy having their photo taken. Beautiful goats! I haven,t mentioned the view of the canyon which is wonderful. Even in the 90-100+ weather this summer, evenings on the porch are a pleasure. We plan to be back. By the way, a good steakhouse is only 10 minutes west, Texas Rose.

We stayed in the Laredo only one night, since we were traveling through, but we look forward to coming back and staying an extended period of time. The views, both during the day and at night, were amazing. The place was clean and the accommodations were top notch. We look forward to coming back to Palo Duro Canyon soon!
