The Space:

The apartment is laid out for working stays, not weekend tourists. You walk in to a living area with a TV and a comfortable place to sit at the end of the day. There is a dining area where you can spread out a laptop or eat a meal you cooked yourself, plus a laptop-friendly workspace if you need to take a call.



The kitchen is fully equipped: refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, cookware, dishes, and silverware. You can cook your own meals for the week instead of eating out every night, which matters on a 30 to 90 day stay. There is a washer and dryer on premises, so you are not hunting for a laundromat after a long shift.



Sleeping space is configured for working professionals and small project crews. Bed linens, towels, hangers, hair dryer, iron, and extra pillows and blankets are all provided. Air conditioning and heating are both in place, and hot water is reliable.

Guest Access:

Self check-in via keypad. You will receive your access code before arrival, so you can land on your own schedule after a long travel day or a long shift. Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. Free parking is available on the premises. If you need a different arrival window, send a message and we will do our best to work with you.



The Neighborhood:

The apartment sits on South Polk Street in central Amarillo, inside what locals call the SoPo arts district. You are close to downtown without being in the middle of the bar traffic. Polk Street has Palace Coffee a short walk or quick drive away, plus a stretch of restaurants and local shops along the corridor. Downtown Amarillo, the Civic Center, and the Hodgetown ballpark area are a short drive. The Big Texan Steak Ranch and Route 66 historic district are an easy drive when you have a free evening. Tyler's Barbecue is on the menu for any visiting coworker who has not had Texas brisket yet.



Getting Around:

Amarillo is a driving city. You will want a personal vehicle or a rental car. The apartment is a short drive to I-40 east and west, and to I-27 south, which puts the data-center corridor northwest of Amarillo within easy reach. Amarillo International Airport (AMA) is a short drive across town. Uber and Lyft both operate locally if you prefer not to drive.



Other Things to Note:

Smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector are in place. No smoking inside the unit, no parties, no pets without prior approval. Long term stays are welcome and weekly or monthly rates can be discussed, so if you are on a data-center build or a healthcare contract and need a 30, 60, or 90 day stay, message us with the dates you are looking at.
