Luxuria Apartments - Collins House

Everything was as beautiful as expected. The customer service desk was fantastic: communication was constant, clear, and genuinely helpful, with all information easily accessible. The apartment itself is impressively large for a Melbourne skyscraper, and the reception hall absolutely blew my mind with its Golden Age grandeur. The location is exceptional and undeniably high‑end. The curated touches, including the “where to go” book and the Luxuria catalogue, were thoughtful and elevated the arrival experience. The interior styling was genuinely impressive! The furniture pieces were unique, sculptural, and beautifully chosen (from the bedside tables to the lamps and the living room accents). The dining set, side tables, and decorative objects all felt curated rather than generic, which is rare in short‑stay apartments. The bedroom styling in particular was outstanding: layered linens, multiple pillow densities, and a beautifully composed bed that looked editorial and inviting. The overall aesthetic had a calm, modern, high‑end feel that I really appreciated.

I work in interior design, so I naturally notice details most guests would overlook. The styling in this apartment is genuinely beautiful. The main area to improve is comfort: the mattress was quite firm, the carpets throughout were harsh underfoot, and a few soft‑furnishing upgrades would help the tactile experience match the styling. The bathroom mirror also needs attention due to visible deterioration, and a small notice reminding guests to use the ventilator would help prevent further damage. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would happily return.

I’m a light sleeper so street noise was a problem for me.

Amazing location and views of the city are breathtaking, good use of space the washer and dryer, cooker and everything fit perfectly, felt very secure and no noise

The taps are something you should really consider changing, the one in the bathroom is to small for the sink, witch makes it hard to wash hands, also the sink didn’t drain well so I was left mopping up my own spit from brushing teeth, and the tap in the kitchen is unhinged way to powerful and hot, end up getting soaked in boiling water when doing the dishes. The tv being where it is means you can’t watch it while you eat, and as someone who travels alone I like to watch a film with my food again no tv in the bedroom and I need background noise to sleep, ended up sleeping on the sofa 2 out of 6 nights.

The location near cafes, restaurants and public transport was great! The size of the apartment was good for 2 people. Bed was comfortable albeit a little firm for my liking but it was still good. The security to get in was comforting. Great views of the fireworks for Moomba Festival! Full kitchen & full sized fridge with all you’d need. The apartment was very clean. The shower was really good 😊

The corner of Collins and Williams Street although a great spot for walking the area and for public transport was a little noisy from traffic and the trams even being up so high in the building. The loungeroom window didn’t seal properly or stay shut tight enough to keep the noise at a minimum and one night there was some music coming from somewhere until about 3 am…no idea from where but it wasn’t great - understand the music noise was not the fault of the owner of the apartment but if the window sealed properly it might have made a difference. The pillows were as flat as pancakes. For the price we paid, the area we were in (I.e. many cafes with a strong coffee culture) and the other good qualities about the apartment, I was disappointed there wasn’t a coffee machine in the apartment - just a pod machine would have been much appreciated.
