About this house rental
Welcome to the Sweet Cherry! This cottage is part of a 1940s resort that has been updated. We have several cottages along 500 feet of Bass Lake water frontage. We love our little slice of heaven and you will, too! The cottage has two bedrooms (queen beds) and one bath with both washer and dryer. You would have your own private fire ring and access just outside your door to the water. If you don't like dogs, this property is probably not for you. We have doodles that frequent the trails and the beach. They will want to come and say hi at some point, guaranteed! We are located about 10 minutes to Traverse City where you can enjoy all sorts of fun! We are a foody town and we have festivals galore all summer long. We are also a short 30 minutes to the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park where you can hike and sightsee to your heart's content. We have 4 (2 adult, 2 child) kayaks, 2 paddle boards, a canoe and I could round up more if needed. I am around if needed, but I won't be in your way if not. We have a strict 4 person maximum, but we do have three other cottages on the same beach that may be open when you want to stay, so if you are hoping to travel with friends or family, let me know and I'll check availability.

We came for a wedding in the area and had a fantastic stay. The location & Lake were very quiet. Kayaking, a beach bonfire and friends that stayed a couple cabins down made the weekend even better! Cute cabin with all the essentials. We’d totally stay there again.

We really enjoyed our time at this quaint, clean, and quiet lake cottage. The access to kayaks and paddle boards was a huge plus. Our boys (ages 12 and 15) used the paddle boards and my husband and I used the kayaks any day we were at the cottage. It was a short drive into Traverse City and up to Glen Arbor/Sleeping Bear Dunes. This is our third visit to the area but first time at this cottage. We were not disappointed.

We had the best stay. Our cottage was incredibly quaint and clean and just lovely. The lake was beautiful and serene...the perfect place for a relaxing vacation. Incidentally our host was lovely too...thanks Jody for an amazing time!!
