Butterfly house. Apartment in Villa. Shared swimming pool and large park

My husband and I rented the villa for a family vacation from June 25 to July 8. There were 6 adults, 2 teenaged granddaughters and 2 young grandsons. The villa is perfectly located for sightseeing day trips or enjoying the ocean. The above ground pool was used daily by the children. It was shallow enough that our 5 year old grandson could walk around in it. The grounds are very spacious with flowers and fruit trees. The children could run around the yard safely. A big drawback to the outdoors, though are the voracious mosquitos! It was lovely sitting outdoors at the very long table, but you need bug spray or clothes with insect repellent impregnated in them or you get attacked by the mosquitos! The villa has two floors as separate apartments. We rented both floors, which worked out perfectly. Unfortunately, there is no sitting (living) room. There is a dining room table on the first floor which some of us could sit around, but not very comfortably. There was a rather shabby small couch in that room too, which needs to be gotten rid of soon. Originally, one of the downstairs bedrooms was probably a living room. Torre Del Lago is a wonderful small town. It's a place where Italians go to vacation we heard. It is close to small medieval villages and the big city, Florence. Having a train station nearby was very helpful and fun! Luca advised us to visit Montecarlo, a quaint village, which we did, and loved it. Luca and Lisa are very friendly and helpful. Luca even brought us fresh vegetables from their garden! If we have the opportunity, we'll definitely return to this charming villa!

We had a great 3 days in Casa Butterfly. It was clean and comfortable - old-fashioned with high ceilings and shuttered windows. Luca was a perfect host. We ate in two restaurants, both within a few minutes walk - Casa de Ana (we recommend the mixed starters) which was quirky but great fun - fully booked on Saturday night with local families, and twice in Diesis - great pizzas and wonderful seafood. The location is perfect - we had a day on the local beach (Stella Nord, it's been run by the same family for 100 years) only a few minutes drive away and a day in Pisa - 30 minutes away with easy parking. In Torre del Lago the Puccini museum is well worth a visit even if you're not an opera fan, and the hour-long boat trip on the lake was beautiful. Would thoroughly recommend.

Villa in posizione tranquilla, giardino magnifico e proprietari disponibili e gentili

Siamo stati molto bene e ci siamo sentiti come a casa...

Siamo entrati nel giardino della Villa e siamo stati accolti da un viale di esemplari di limoni dentro antichi coppi in terracotta semplicemente fantastici, curati magnificamente dal proprietario, che con la stessa cura ha seguito la nostra vacanza, coccolandoci continuamente, pur restando molto discreto... La Villa si trova in una posizione strategica eccezionale: a due passi dal lago dove il compositore Giacomo Puccini ha creato le sue opere immortali e dal Gran Teatro all'aperto dove ogni estate vengono qui rappresentate... A pochi km dalle spiagge del mare della Versilia... E con un'ora di macchina si possono raggiungere le pi belle città Toscane: da Firenze, Pisa, Lucca, Carrara... Uno speciale ringraziamento a Luca per la magnifica vacanza!!!

This villa is exquisite!! Located just 11 miles from Pisa in a small village where Puccini wrote his aria's, the light in the lake shimmers like diamonds, and the hosts - Luca and Lisa - are attentive, generous and kind. This villa is very comfortable with two separate and spacious apartments (upstairs/downstairs). This visit I stayed upstairs. It can sleep up to 9 people. It's a perfect place to come upon first arriving in Italy to acclimate to the time difference. You'll find the friendliest people, great food and beautiful sites all around. You will not be disappointed!!

wunderschönes haus mit jede menge auslauf für die kinder. prima lage, gut zu erreichen und ausreichend ausgestattet. eine spülmaschine wäre ein lohnendes upgrade. trotzdem 5 sterne.

Splendida villa del 1900 situata tra il mare e il lago, con un fantastico giardino e una piscina dove ci si può rilassare lontano dal traffico estivo.. la consiglio a chi vuol passare un Week end nel pieno relax..
