About this apartment rental

This 2 level home has a private 3rd floor ocean front balcony as well as a balcony off the master bedroom located back of the 3rd floor. Kitchen has granite countertops, travertine floors, and stainless-steel appliances. Spectacular ocean and sunset views from the living room, dining area, and kitchen.

All three of the bedrooms have a queen size bed (3 beds total) plus a sofa sleeper in the living room.

The home occupies the 3rd floor and the back part of the 2nd floor and has its own elevator for easy access.

This property is located in the heart of Mission Beach within close proximity to several shops, bars, restaurants and water activities. Approximately a 2-minute drive to Belmont Park, a 5-minute drive to Sea World, 15 minutes to the downtown Gaslamp District and the airport!

Guests of Pacific Sunset enjoy a 2 car Tandem garage! Parking is very tight here in Mission Beach so we do not guarantee that your vehicles will fit in the spaces provided. There is additional public parking at the nearby Santa Clara Aquatic Center. There are also multiple bus routes that run along Mission Boulevard. Mission Beach is also a hot spot for Uber & Lyft!
San Diego Sunset does not guarantee your vehicle will be able to fit in the parking space provided, nor are we able to provide additional parking if the assigned parking is too small

"This unit does not have air conditioning"

$100 deposit is required to book a reservation. The $100 deposit is non-refundable if you cancel, unless cancellation is made within 24 hours of booking and booking is made at least 3 days before time of check-in. If you do not cancel, the $100 goes toward your total balance. (This does not apply to Airbnb bookings).

A copy of your ID/Drivers License sent to us via email or shown in person at our office will be required prior to check in.

Cancellation Policy For Direct & VRBO Bookings is below. For Airbnb bookings, please refer to the Airbnb Cancellation Policy.

1. Cancellations and Changes in Reservations
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to the Agency. The effective date of cancellation is the date the written notice is received by the Agency. Refund eligibility is determined based on the arrival date and the timing of the cancellation as outlined below:

1.1 Cancellation Within 24 Hours of Booking:
If the reservation is cancelled within twenty-four (24) hours of booking, the Guest is entitled to a full refund of all payments made.

1.2 Cancellation More Than 60 Days Before Arrival:
If the Guest cancels and the arrival date is more than sixty (60) days away, the Guest has only paid the $100 non-refundable reservation deposit, which will not be refunded.

1.3 Cancellation 31–60 Days Prior to Arrival:
If the Guest cancels thirty-one (31) to sixty (60) days prior to the scheduled arrival date, the Guest is entitled to a fifty percent (50%) refund of the rental amount paid. All refunds are subject to applicable processing and credit card fees.

1.4 Cancellation 0–30 Days Prior to Arrival:
If the Guest cancels thirty (30) days or fewer prior to the scheduled arrival date, or fails to arrive for any reason (“no-show”), no refunds will be issued and the Guest forfeits all monies paid.

1.5 Reservation Date Changes:
All requests to modify reservation dates must be submitted in writing to the Agency and are subject to availability. Reservation date changes are not permitted within sixty (60) days of the scheduled arrival date. Guests requesting date changes within this period must cancel their existing reservation and rebook a new reservation. Any refund issued will be governed by the cancellation policy applicable to the original arrival date, regardless of the new booking dates.

1.6 Airbnb Reservations:
For reservations booked through Airbnb, Airbnb’s cancellation, payment, and refund policies apply and supersede this cancellation and deposit policy. Guests should refer to the cancellation policy displayed on the Airbnb platform at the time of booking for the applicable terms.

    The location was amazing! The house could be better maintained, but everything worked and was clean-ish.

    The floors we not clean. Walked in the door, took our shoes off and within minutes of walking up stairs our feet were filthy. None of the windows or window tracks were cleaned. I personally cleaned the outside patio windows when we got there- there were smudge marks all over

    This place is disgusting. Dirty pans. Tv doesn’t work. Broken fridge. Couldn’t get a hold off the office our entire stay. Do not stay here.

    Nice view, other places we have rented in the past have TV's in every room, this rental did not so my kids had to play games on the main television. Also I thought it advertised that it had an elevator and it did but it was locked,i wasnt happy about that, I have a hurt foot so 2 flights of steep stairs was really hard on my body. The other thing was there were no beach towels, in the past we brought towels with us but every rental has had them so we didnt think we had to bring them. We had to buy them each towel was 26.00! I was greatful they were on sale for 12.00 but still we had to spend money on beach towels we have to many of at home. Otherwise it was in the middle part of the beach so we had lots of choices of where to go to get coffee, drinks and dinner.

    The house had an amazing location but the overall cleanliness was disappointing. There were a lot of issue with the downstairs electrics cutting out often and then turning back on 30 minutes later.

    This place is on the boardwalk which means it’s location is great but the house needs some serious work. The shower was broken, the disposal was broken, the house was dirty when we arrived, there isn’t enough awx

    The view and location of this property is great. However, the place, with some needed attention and polish, could be immensely improved. There were broken dishes and glasses, the towels were terrible, no bed skirts, sand everywhere, clothes washer was broken, door key pad sticks making it difficult/time consuming to come and go, the couch is uncomfortable, BBQ was terrible, screen door was broken, 1/2 bath toilet runs incessantly unless flipped up, vents and hardware in bathrooms are dirty and rusted, crappy silverware and utensils in the kitchen, no tea/water kettle, and there is an awful table and plant on the back patio. The plastic plant should go in the garbage. With some minor improvement this place could be so much more comfortable and enjoyable for guests.
