Situated in the beautiful Haute-Charente region close to the Dordogne border, this tastefully restored and immaculately maintained 4 bedroom ( Max 8 adults plus children/infants )farmhouse is located in a tiny hamlet surrounded by woodland and close to Les Lacs de Haute Charente. Spacious and very well equipped, with extensive gardens and a large, private, fully enclosed swimming pool and sun deck with glorious views over rolling countryside.
The magnificent open plan lounge has original oak beams, a Charentaise fireplace and wood-burning stove. There are three sofas, dining table and chairs, and an extensive selection of books, games

The fully fitted kitchen incorporates a dishwasher, larder fridge, oven, hob, microwave, toaster, farmhouse dresser.The farmhouse style table and chairs seats six. The adjoining utility room houses a washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge/freezer.
A shower room with wc and wash-hand basin completes the ground floor accommodation.
On the first floor, a beautiful galleried landing serves four large bedrooms (one family room with superking bed and daybed ,two doubles cot available ,twin room,travel cot also available.and a family bathroom comprising bath, shower cubicle, wc, wash-hand basin and bidet.New upgraded bedding ,fluffy towels and linen robes now provided
Outside, the enclosed private swimming pool measures 10m x 6m and is up to 2m deep. 4 sun beds,Lots of outdoor furniture to sit and enjoy the views includes a dining table, parasol and six chairs ,BBQs,outdoor wood burner .
There are excellent walking and cycling opportunities on the doorstep. The Lac de Mas Chaban and Lac de Lavaud are within a few minutes’ drive or bike ride and offer swimming, watersports, fishing, picnic sites, and restaurants.

Lovely house situated in a very quiet area. Property was very clean and comfortable, well maintained with good furniture. Plenty of parking area. The swimming pool is great and kept clean with the owner working hard to keep it that way. Unfortunately, poor weather in September meant that we could not take a dip very often but we could relax outside. The pool table in the lounge was very inviting and well-used in the evenings. The donkey and pony in the adjoining field were friendly, particularly when we fed them carrots!Owners were very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a very good holiday.

We spent 8 nights at Maison L’allee at the end of August. It had everything we needed. Beautiful pool that was exceptionally well maintained. The accommodation is spacious and very well equipped.
The pool benefits from the sun all day and lends itself to pleasant sunsets and stunning star gazing.
Lyn and Paul are laid back, friendly and discreet. They made us and our two dogs feel welcome.
The surrounding area is rich with parks, lakes and activities. There are also plenty of restaurants within a 30 minute radius.

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans cette maison très confortable, avec une belle piscine, un billard, un très joli jardin, dans un endroit à la fois calme et bien situé pour les visites. La maison a un air de cottage anglais très élégant, beaucoup de charme. Les propriétaires sont très agréables, serviables et discrets. Une adresse à retenir absolument !

Nous (4 adultes et 3 enfants) avons passé une très bonne semaine au calme dans cette belle location.
Maison spacieuse, bien équipée (plus jeux, vélos,... à disposition) et tenue par des propriétaires avenants. Ces derniers étant anglais, prévoir tout de même de pouvoir lire/parler un minimum la langue de Shakespeare.
La localisation était tout à fait ce que nous cherchions : calme au milieu d'une belle campagne avec de quoi faire des activités à proximité (lac, balades, fermes et sites historiques à visiter,...). Prévoir quelques minutes de voiture pour les courses ou la restauration dans les environs.
