About this villa rental
Villa Ermelinda is a splendid and luminous three-story villa situated in a quiet location, a few minutes from the town center. It sleeps six people. From Villa Ermelinda you will enjoy an enchanting view of the sea, of Positano and of the Amalfi Coast. Villa Ermelinda is 250 square meters (2690 square feet). It features a shared swimming pool, direct access to the beach and to the sea, nice private terraces with a view of the sea, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed) and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be approximately 500 meters (550 yards) from Positano, roughly 200 meters (660 feet) from shops and the stop for the SITA bus Amalfi-Sorrento line. You will find the closest restaurant at 50 meters (165 feet), the stop for Flavio Gioia bus Positano - Montepertuso - Nocelle line a few meters (feet) away and the beach at 400 meters (approximately 440 yards) including 415 stairway steps. You will reach Villa Ermelinda from the street level going up three flights of stairs (approximately 130 steps).
You will not need a car to stay at Villa Ermelinda. If you do have one, you will be able to park it at approximately 50 meters (165 feet), for a fee, in a reserved parking space.
As guests of Villa Ermelinda you will be able to use the pool and the beach of a nearby hotel. To reach the hotel from the villa, you will need to go down to the road below the villa (approximately 130 stairway steps), then cross the road and walk for 50 meters/yards to the front gate. Once inside, to reach the shared pool you will follow a short walkway and walk down about 110 stairway steps. From the pool area you can walk to the beach along a footpath which includes about 175 stairway steps.
Pets are welcome, but they are not allowed in the pool area and at the beach.
A luggage service via cable car is available, to lift your luggage from the street to the villa (and back down).
Direct Access to the Sea
From the property you will have a direct access to the sea and to a beach. You will reach it from the villa going down approximately 415 stairway steps. The area is equipped with sun umbrellas, deck chairs and sun loungers. The access to the sea is shared with guests staying at a nearby hotel.

Swimming Pool
You will reach the swimming pool from Villa Ermelinda going down approximately 240 stairway steps. The pool is 3 meters (10 feet) large by 18 meters (59 feet) long, from 1.90 meter (6.2 feet) to 2.10 meters (6.9 feet) deep. It has a whirlpool corner and is filled with sea water. The area is equipped with tables, chairs, sun umbrellas, deck chairs, sun loungers and an external shower. From the swimming pool you will enjoy a charming view of the sea, of Positano and of the Amalfi Coast. You will share the pool with guests staying at a nearby hotel. The swimming pool is open from the beginning of June until mid-October.
Bottom FloorTerrace 1
The first terrace is 40 square meters (430 square feet) large. You will be able to enter it from the first living room. It is shaded by a porch. It is equipped with a table, chairs and an external shower. From the terrace you will enjoy an enchanting view of the sea, of Positano and of the Amalfi Coast.
Living Room 1
The furnishings of the living room are warm and welcoming, and include a long L-shaped sofa. There is a marvellous fireplace made of stone. The dining table can accommodate eight guests. In this room you will find a CD player with FM radio. From the living room you will be able to enter the first terrace with a view of the sea and of the coast of Amalfi through a French door.
Kitchen
You will be able to enter the kitchen from the living room. It is equipped with a five-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, an Italian-style coffee-maker and an American-style coffee-maker. The kitchen has a high window.
Bedroom 1 with en-suite bathroom
You will be able to enter the first bedroom from the living room. The bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed), that can be split into twins if requested (please contact our staff in advance to make arrangements). From the bedroom you will be able to enter the first terrace with a view of the sea and of the coast of Amalfi through a French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, spacious and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a fully enclosed shower and a hairdryer.
Half bath
The half-bath is equipped with a washbasin and a toilet. You will be able to enter it from the living room.
Top FloorTerrace 2
The second terrace is 20 square meters (215 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by olive trees. It is equipped with a table and two sun loungers. From the terrace you will enjoy a splendid view of the sea, of Positano and of the Amalfi Coast.
Living Room 2
The furnishings of the second living room include a long sofa. From the living room you will be able to enter the second terrace with a view of the sea and of the coast of Amalfi through two French doors.
Bedroom 2 with en-suite bathroom
You will be able to enter the second bedroom from the living room. The bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed), that can be split into twins if requested (please contact our staff in advance to make arrangements). From the bedroom you will be able to enter the second terrace with a view of the sea and of the coast of Amalfi through a French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a large fully-enclosed shower and a hairdryer.
Bedroom 3 with en-suite bathroom
You will be able to enter the third bedroom from the through an external access. It has two twin beds (80 cm/32 inches), that can be pushed together into a matrimonial bed if requested (please contact our staff in advance to make arrangements). From the bedroom you will be able to enter the second terrace with a view of the sea and of the coast of Amalfi through a French door. The room has a window with a view of the sea and of the coastline, and it's equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a large fully-enclosed shower and a hairdryer.
Laundry room

Beautiful villa with gorgeous views of the sea. Short distance to a small convenience store/bakery. Private beach was very nice. Walk to town was a short distance... There are a lot of stairs to climb, but so worth it! The patios overlooking the water are beautiful. I would highly recommend this villa, the owner and his family were very helpful.
Thanks again for letting us rent your villa. We had a great time!

Villa Ermelinda was fantastic!!! Our extended family stayed for 8 days and absolutely enjoyed our time at the villa and in beautiful Positano and with our trips along the coast.
The pictures of the villa on the website are very accurate - it's beautiful. We enjoyed our morning cappuccino on the terrace roof top (which by the way has a fun outdoor shower if you want to cool off) and also enjoyed breakfast, dinner or wine the second story terrace with a outdoor dinning table - also a fantastic view of the water and coast.
Our host Giulio and his family were incredible and had a lovely snack and beverages waiting for us on our arrival and were always so amazing at answering our texts with helpful information.
Would highly recommend this Villa. Everything is a short 5-15 min (beautiful) walk away (with quite a bit of steps... but that is everywhere on the Amalfi Coast... so bring your comfortable walking shoes.)
