We really enjoyed our stay and can totally recommend Saiid and the whole team at the camp, as they offer a great experience in the dessert. Tanmert (ⵜⴰⵏⵎⴻⵔⵜ) :) In our case, we drove to Riad Dar Mari in Merzouga, where we parked the car and waited for the jeep to pick us up. There is a pool & a shower you can use when arriving or leaving, which the kids were very happy about & also you dont have to shower in the desert, which doesn't make sense anyway since you'll be sandy 10 seconds later :) We stayed for 2 nights, which I would definitely recommend and we didnt want to ride camels or quads, so we booked a jeep and had 2 very fun rides to and from the camp. The kids loved it and it was definitely a great experience. We also booked a day tour with Said and he took us to many different places, around the area, just text him & he will send you the options. They also had Snowboards for sand boarding at the camp, and drums so the kids were quite happy, when we hung out at the camp after our tour. Dinner in the camp was also really delicious. We asked for vegan food and got vegan food. Breakfast could have a few more plant based options (maybe some fruit, veggies or hummus), so we had coffee, bread, some stuff we brought ourselves and there is jam (which maybe in this case should better come in small packages, since there are a lot of flies everywhere). At night there is some music & singing around a fire, which is great, but it was really loud, so if you have kids that cannot stay awake that long, maybe ask for a tent, that isnt right next to the entrance/fire. ;-) You can charge your phone in the main tent, but we didn't have any reception, just for your information.
Something that really irritated me was, that the camp on the photos, is in the same spot, but the tents and setup is very different. Probably older photos, since the trees are so much bigger now, so maybe the photos should be updated, since it had a different vibe, which was also fine but just very different from what we chose, based on the photos. Also the bathroom tent really needs an update and soap ! (I asked 3 times, but nothing happened). Not sure if there was a problem or if this is normal, but it smelled really bad in the bathroom tent and the toilets were not working that well. I'm sure it's fixable, but that is how it was. And some things, I would've really liked to know up front, thats more general information, not just about this camp: The camps are all quite close to the next one, since the desert itself isn't that big. So if you go up the dunes for sunrise or sunset (which is still beautiful) you will see a lot of people, but of course, you're on of them too ;-) Please dont book the quads! They are extremely loud and annoying, they go for sunrise tours and sunset tours and they drive by the camels, it's also dangerous & just really destroyes the peace and quiet, you would expect (or love to have) in the desert. Take a jeep (they need to bring luggage and food to the camps anyway) or a camel if you must, but please skip the quads! And if you made it all to the end of this text, here's another tip: Take lots and lots of water. Really! a lot! You can buy it in the camp and Said also had some extra for us (tanmert again), but just take 3-4 L/Person/Day, you'll need it.

From the beginning to the end, the tour was fantastic 👌. After arriving and parking in our designated spot at the camp office, we began our camel ride to camp. The sky was so clear that we could see the stars and an amazing sunset. After serving us a Berber tea at the camp, the crew gave us our opulent tent in the middle of the Sahara. I mistakenly believed that we were staying in a desert palace rather than a camp, where everything we needed to have a good time in the Merzouga desert was accessible. Once again, thank you for everything, Hassan. We enjoyed the experience.
