Kitchener Cottage Swanage very close to beach

Spotlessly clean! A huge comfortable bed. Shower in the bathroom was great. Lounge spacious and well furnished. Luckily we managed to get a parking place in front of the building. Liz is absolutely lovely!

Although the property is technically on the ground floor, access to the building is by 2 external short stone staircases. One of the ovens, and the dishwasher were out of action but we weren't cooking! And the d/w was being repaired the day we lett. Outside, the front door could have done with a wash, and the keys were a nightmare! Also, only one set of door keys provided. And be warned...the WiFi in Swanage is virtually nonexistent and the phone signal isn’t much better!

Very clean, lots of space and comfy bed. Liz was lovely and helpful.

The property was bright, spacious, and modern, with good quality, well-appointed kitchen and bathroom. It was really well positioned in a great location - close to the beach, pier and town centre, and an easy walk to the bus and train station. Despite being so central it was nice and quiet. The owner met us on arrival, and saved her parking space for us in front of the apartment building, which meant we didn’t have to hunt around for a parking space.

Just a few negatives (and we still enjoyed our stay): The flat smelled musty/damp More thorough cleaning needed (shower heads & tray, skirting boards, back of TV) Wi-Fi and 4G were virtually non-existent in the flat throughout our stay so we had to go elsewhere in town to use the internet. Mobile signal (Vodafone) also very poor. And some suggestions for improvement: An information pack eg nearest chemist, doctors, recommendations for restaurants, days out etc would be helpful Leaflets, bus timetables etc should be kept up to date (we replaced quite a few from previous years with current ones from the TIC). Would be good to have books, games, pack of cards etc for rainy days I would replace the existing bed set up with a normal double or kingsize bed (currently 2 single wooden beds/mattresses pushed together with a large mattress topper covering both. Gap in between mattresses and one bed being slightly lower than the other means an uncomfortable dip in middle). But pillows and individual beds very comfy.

Beautiful apartment, great location, close to the sea, eateries and shops. The apartment is also close to the train station bus station, too. The owner was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Easy to get hold of and very accommodating. very pleased with the whole experience. The only downside is the internet connection, which wasn't the best.

The internet connection was weak.
