We had the most wonderful, relaxing stay on the island of Kaprije. If you are looking for an authentic, peaceful Croatian experience away from the crowds and noise, this is the place. Location & Setting: The highlight is definitely the car-free nature of the island. Arriving by ferry instantly slows your pulse. The main village is charming, with stone houses and local taverns (konobas). The crystal-clear sea is perfect for swimming, and we found several beautiful, secluded spots within a short walk. It truly felt like stepping back in time. Accommodation & Host: Our accommodation was spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and offered a fantastic view. Our host was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including tips on where to find the best local meals. It felt more like staying with family than at a rental property. A huge, value-adding perk was the complimentary use of a SUP (stand-up paddleboard), a kayak, and bicycles, all provided by Mario and included in the price. This made exploring the island's coastline and paths effortless and fun. His commitment to hospitality went above and beyond: on one unforgettable day, he personally prepared and served us a magnificent feast of freshly caught local fish, perfectly complemented by his homemade wine and olive oil. Value for Money & Facilities: While Kaprije is small and has limited facilities (only one small local shop with reasonable prices and a handful of eateries), that's part of its appeal. We found the local food to be excellent and reasonably priced. Everything you need for a quiet, self-sufficient holiday is available. Would I recommend? Absolutely, yes. This is not a party destination, but a sanctuary. Come here to disconnect, swim in magnificent water, and enjoy the pure tranquility of the Dalmatian coast. We can't wait to return.

We had a truly wonderful stay in this apartment, perfectly located in the peaceful and charming island of Kaprije, where life is warm, communal, and welcoming. The apartment’s position is excellent, and the hosts offer uncompromising hospitality. Just to name a few examples: after a long and tiring journey, Mario greeted us with freshly caught local fish, grilled to perfection. He even took my children on a boat trip, where they learned how to fish for the very first time. Everything they do comes from the heart – not for any reward, but simply because they genuinely want their guests to relax, feel at home, and be embraced by the spirit of Kaprije. This apartment is highly recommended – with outstanding hosts and a location perfect for those seeking peace and quiet. It’s an ideal place to disconnect from the stress of the 21st century and recharge your energy in a truly authentic island atmosphere.

Nice, clean, new apartment with beautiful view from terrace. You can use grill, sup, raft... Close to market, bars, ferry in a quiet small town. Super host :). Prepared a lunch for our family the first day when we arrive.
