Le Terramon - Appartement 4 personnes

We stayed at Le Terramon over Christmas and had a great time. It is very well located in Orbey, close to Colmar and ideally situated for walking and hiking in the Vosges. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and very quiet, with comfortable beds and all the facilities and utensils needed for cooking (which is quite rare in our experience). The hosts were extremely friendly and even prepared an Advent calendar for the kids.

Very little to fault — the pillows were perhaps a bit soft for our taste.

The apartment was really nice, complete with everything guests would need and conveniently located next to a free parking lot with sufficient parking spaces. Communication with the host Margaux upfront was in perfect English with prompt responses to all our questions. Very thoughtful welcome by the host; there were local beers, salty snacks, personalized 'things-to-do list' and message on the black board.

Although the apartment was located perfectly, the village of Orbey is a bit 'small'. For us it was not a problem at all since we were cycling all day. But for a decent dinner (no pizzas, burgers etc.) you'll have to leave Orbey to e.g. Kaysersberg or Colmar. Those are very close as well if you have a car. My friend is vegetarian and dinner options are then quite limited in the village of Orbey.

Amazing apartment, great bedroom and fantastic kids' room. The setup of the apartment is perfect, so you can also have a drink in the living room without waking up the kids. Kids went hunting for Pokemon's and succeeded! Great entertainment for at least 10mins. Close to a park with a nice playground as well.

Nothing, only the restaurants in the area are traditional mountain food restaurants, so not very modern.

This was one of the best places we've ever stayed. Impeccably clean, very well equipped kitchen, great list of things to do in the area, custom made for our particular dates, and hiking maps provided. And a great Pokemon themed room for the kids with even some coloring books and other fun things for them to do. We felt so welcome and at home, it was amazing.

Nice apartment with everything you need, organized, with many nice details and very clean. The check-in using the code was very easy. Very confortable bed and nice bathroom. Location was very good for our purpose, visiting the neighboring christmas markets.

Margaux sent me a detail message before arrival, it was really perfect. The apartment is equipped with a key box to allow autonomous check in, so we didn't need to wait anybody to handover the keys. I will use this idea in my rental place. There is two bedroom which a one has king size bed and other one has 2 single beds. Three towel was provided for each guest. Also tea towels, sponge and bath mat are also included. The apartment is perfectly decorated. All rooms and bathroom clean, there are additional stuff in kitchen that you can prepare meals for yourself. If you have kids, you should definitely book this apartment. Margaux provides Wii and board games for kids. She also prepared a welcome book including local activities, restaurants etc. Additionally, another list of the activities doable in the area to give some ideas and have more fun during your stay. When we arrived the apartment, we saw that the table was already ready so we started drinking at home. There is also lots of free parking spaces around the apartment. This was one of my best experiences. I will definitely come back to Margaux place!

Pretty much everything! The communication with Margaux was great, the region is beautiful - perfect for hiking, the appartment has everything you need and more, especially the kitchen was extremely well equipped also with oil, salt, herbs and everything which is often a pain to buy for just 1-2 meals when staying in other Appartements! Also the hosts have great attention to detail, both in the fun decorations and all the information provided to make the stay as comfortable as possible :)

Nothing much, the matresses were a bit hard for my taste, but I know thats how many people prefer it
