Not happy

I like that it is fenced off for my two dogs

I could not open/ shut the large farmyard style wooden gate! Someone came to help, but it was still a big struggle to try to manoeuvre the large grey 'pole' which was getting stuck very tight. I rang the telephone number provided and another chap came to help. Apparently his reckoning was that someone had slammed the gate and it had gone out of line!! ' pull the pole and lift the gate ' was the advice. I'm 5ft 4inches, 73 years of age, not long had radical Radiotherapy and chemotherapy for lung cancer, plus have been paying £100 a month for osteopathy treatment and special massages for my back pain which makes it hard to walk and do normal tasks. I lifted the gate, no option if I wanted to get in and out, and pulled my back. By now I was stressed and upset. I went to the office on site next day to report this. Their reply was they weren't aware of this with the gate! I said I'd rang through. They'd have to get in touch with the owner. By this time I was very upset and in pain, I was going to return home that evening!! Someone came that afternoon 3.30pm and fixed the gate! The question is, why wasn't this noticed before I arrived? Did they not consider that it may be an OAP that wanted just a few days to relax? I think a refund ought to be in order, especially as I've had to get more costly treatment than was planned to help my back pain

Good stay for myself and pet, when you pay over £100 a night, one expects a good standard

No breakfast included

The door leads air and rain Needs a rug inside the door for wet weather, floor slippy, not good especially for older people Loo seat loose, health and safety issue Cheap mismatch cutlery Frying pan not up up standard, for charge of property Cooker working on same circuit as fridge, turn cooker off, fridge goes off, food was wasted. NO notice to say this Party going on 2 nights in hobbit house until 3pm and 2pm respectively

We enjoyed how peaceful it was. The hot tub was lovely and the paddock for our dog to run around gave us peace of mind that she was safe while we relaxed.

The rope fence surrounding the deck was missing which was a little dangerous and also didn't look very nice.

Absolutely appalled by the cleanliness. If you enjoy dog hairs & pasta, this is your place to go.

The location and views are fantastic, however the postcode provided to find the park was not useful as it took 40 minutes from the given postcode to find the exact location of the park. This was appalling due to the 3 hour journey it took to reach the supposed location.

Both myself and my partner were absolutely appalled by the uncleanliness of the property. Prior to booking, we understood the property was dog friendly and this wasn’t an issue for us. However, we didn’t bring a pet and managed to gather a shed load of dog hairs. The hairs were stuck to the soles of our feet (ruined socks), all over the bed (including beneath the covers), on the towels provided (stuck to my body after showering), down both the kitchen sink and bathroom sink, and on the dining table. My partner had to use the dustpan and brush to sweep the dog hairs from the floor and yet we still encountered fur in the above places listed. I would not return to the same lodge due to the uncleanliness of the property and the distance we travelled was absolutely awful to be retching from dog hairs all over the property.
