About this house rental
. This home and acres of gardens surrounding it, are our life's work - and have been featured in news papers and magazines. Both were designed to be a haven and refuge from the stresses of everyday life. You will feel like you are truly at a resort with total privacy.
On the first floor are 2 living rooms. One has a beautiful old stone fireplace. and loads of comfortable seating. The coziest room in the house in winter.The second room overlooks, and opens onto, the main gardens and property. It has a large tv, Comphy overstuffed chairs and couch and includes a day bed that is always fought over for an afternoon nap.
Our designer kitchen is new, with every imaginable thing you could need.It opens onto our large screened in porch, which has dining for 8-10, an outdoor wolf barbeque, and a large sectional couch.
The dining room off the kitchen seats 8 as well and has floor to ceiling windows overlooking fields and mountains. The sheepskin covered daybed is a favorite place to watch the birds come to their feeders. There is also a new bathroom with a marble walk in shower.
Upstairs are 3 bedrooms, each with a n exceptionally luxurious queen bed, and each with mountain and garden views and lots of light. There are two beautiful bathrooms upstairs. One is all tumbled marble - very large with an air jet tub and huge walk in shower. The other is brand new with all the amenities you could want .
Outside are some of the most beautiful gardens you can imagine..filled with trees shrubs and perennials of every description. It is also spectacular in the winter when it is covered in snow. This property is truly a winter wonderland .Our seasonal heated pool has just been redone, and is surrounded by bluestone patios and walkways into the garden. there is a pool house and a queen sized outdoor bed by the pool.
Our charming screened in gazebo is in a private part of the property to get away from it all!
The house is filled with our art collection, and Gayle's sculpture is both inside and outside the home. Our furnishings and rugs are all high end designer. We gave curated the most wonderful pieces!
We are 5 minutes to the Bearsville theater complex.. it’s right down the road. 10 minutes to town with great restaurants, and close to all area hikes, and attractions. About 30 minutes to skiing.
It is a short walk to cooper lake where you can take in the most beautiful sunsets.

My family of six spent the Memorial Day weekend at this little paradise in the middle of the beautiful Catskill Mountains. The house is very comfortable, the pool is heated and perfectly situated on the grounds and the landscaping is breathtaking. The hosts could not be nicer. We will be back.

We loved our stay at Ken and Gayle’s lovely home. Beautiful location, quiet, gorgeous gardens, home tastefully designed. The pool was such a highlight. It was lovely and we will be happy to come back!
