Large 100 year old house in lovely walking area

This is a fantastic, characterful house in a beautiful area. It is well equipped and suits our family holiday perfectly. There are lots of things to do in the area- swimming, walking and sightseeing. The garden is enclosed and spacious with great views. The shutters mean the house can be kept cool.

This was our second stay . The house is perfect for a family group and dog. It is a very attractive house, well equipped with everything we needed to cook large meals, and comfortable everywhere. The garden is perfect for eating outside, and was safely enclosed for the two small children and Colby the dog. We did walks in the woodland near by, and enjoyed the friendly swimming lake at Vernet le Varenne, about twenty minutes away. The local town, which is about five minutes’ drive, had small but well stocked supermarkets, and both towns have boulangeries/pâtisseries. For bigger days out, towns like Le Puy en Velay, and La Chaise Dieu are easily manageable and worth the drive. Views all round the house and the area are fantastic.

The house was in a beautiful location. It had the perfect accommodation for our family of eight, including two young children . It was comfortable and brilliantly equipped. The hosts were helpful and generous.
