This was a beautifully restored and spacious former post house with a large field and a shallow and pleasant stream running nearby. This was simply perfect for me and my family - with a young child who loved the setting and the stream. Everything was well organised and the accommodation was clean and comfortable. We had a nice friendly welcome and the owner contacted me during the week to check all was well. The village itself was ideal for us- not large, but interesting, with a small bakery and grocery. There was a fantastic flea market event on the Sunday which was good fun. The location was great for exploring the nearby areas of the Auvergne -Ambert, Thiers, the Allier river, the Puy de Dome and the Sancy. All were within an hour or so by car. I would certainly return if possible and choose this as a number one base to explore the area.

There was nothing we disliked about the property ! It was characterful, spacious , quiet and beautifully restored.
