This newly renovated 3rd floor apartment is positioned in one of London's best locations, right next to the world renowned Hyde Park and with easy access to Oxford Street and the West End, home of the famous theatres and the best bars and restaurants the city has to offer, The flat consists of a large open plan dining and living room connected to the modern kitchen which is filled with all the required cooking utensils. This location is wonderful. It’s a little far to walk to the attractions along the Thames but with the Lancaster Gate tube station and a bus stop right across the street we zipped all over the city without a problem. Get an Oyster card and learn how to use the public transport, tube, bus , rail and Uber boat. This flat is in a beautiful residential neighborhood right across Bayswater Road from Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. The perfect area for an evening stroll or bike ride. We did both. There are lots of restaurants and food shops within a 10 minute walk. And if you’re taking the Heathrow Express (15 minute train ride to Paddington) you’ll be just a 10 minute walk to the flat. Don’t worry about rolling your suitcase down the sidewalk, everyone does it. The flat seems a little smaller than the photos show but that’s life in a major city. The only complaint I have is that the beds need to be replaced. They have definitely seen better days. And it needs an upgrade on dishes. Some normal sized drinking glasses, enough for a family with four children, would be a great addition. I think there were only six , 4-6 ounce glasses in the cabinet. And add some ice cube trays. Maybe it’s just an American thing but we drink a lot of ice water. When spending this much on a rental there is an expectation of high quality beds and a well appointed kitchen. The towels, however, were big and fluffy. Overall I highly recommend this place.
