I loved this property. The host was very accommodating, polite and considerate. This house had so many amazing details in the furnishings and all that was supplied in the bathrooms and kitchen. I highly recommend this property.

We had a great time over the Labor Day weekend at this property. The place was spotless and very well stocked for our party of 14 ppl. The owner completely went out of her way to accomadate our last minute request to rent the golf cart. There were a few hiccups, the dryer was not working but it was ok since we were there for only 4 days. It was a holiday weekend so we knew it would be hard to get somene there to fix it. However, The AC thermostat did go out while we were there but the owner had someone there in within a few hours of being notified on a holiday weekend and it was all fixed. Would definatley rent again if the oppurtunity presents itself.

Longtime friends with families converged from three different states to enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. At $1,587 a night this premium property came with a steep price (the highest of all considered) and we hoped it would be worth the money for this special gathering. The house indeed afforded a lovely spot on the beach! We were grateful for the beach cart to haul stuff back and forth for the short walk (about 100 yards). The owners were very kind and quick to respond to questions and needs. The house had a great spacious layout for a multi-family group like us - appreciated the large kitchen and living room, second floor with bunk rooms and pool/ping-pong table, large front decks, garage for parking rental cars. The double ovens were essential. As a coffee grinder was an item we desired, a new one was provided. Despite its youthful age and premium price, this house needs some TLC/investment:
Upon arrival the clothes dryer and refrigerator ice maker were both inoperable. We helped the appliance serviceman carry the dryer in pieces down two flights of stairs. The owner offered us free laundry if we drove to a nearby laundromat; the dryer was returned in operating condition on day three of five. The ice maker remained inoperable and went twice to a local store to buy ice.
Blinds did not operate correctly in at least two bedrooms, stuck in one position (less gulf view; less privacy)
The bed frame on the second floor king bed was not properly assembled (parts on the floor under the bed); squeaked with every movement
Pool table pockets falling apart, outdoor fireplace didn't work (nor indoor; it was unseasonably cold in Texas), wobbly legs on dining room chair, rusty beach chairs (most all of the "included" beach gear was in poor condition)
Kitchen could use some additional tools - i.e. only one small whisk, not enough mixing bowls
Fitted sheets with worn elastic; top floor window cracked
Most importantly, this house could use disclosure that there is active construction occurring next door (about 12 feet away) on one side and one house away on the other. Thus, we were greeted with the sights and sounds of hammering, sawing and smoking; workers were actively framing the house next door with view down to the balcony areas of the rental house; watch out for nails on street and sidewalk. The neighborhood is largely undeveloped; construction will be present for some time; this is an important item for potential renters.
