Our Charming Cottage is the perfect refuge to whisk your troubles away. The sounds of a flowing water feature, colorful gardens, were all lovingly created to inspire the essence of family and home. The Charming Cottages neighborhood (Fort Grounds) is rich in history and is a dedicated National Historical District. It is located just a few minutes walk from Lake Coeur d,Alene (beaches and parks) and the downtown CDA Resort, shopping, art galleries, restaurants, bar and grills and vibrant nightlife.
The house has been restored and has all modern appliances yet has kept its 1930's ambiance and roots. From the quaint front room to the three bedrooms and spacious and well apportioned kitchen to the nice deck and water feature it offers a quiet get away from all the business of the downtown commercial appeal, yet only a short walk away. Rent kayaks and canoes at the beach, have fun at the parks or hop on CDA's extensive bicycling and running trail just minutes walk from the front door.
A short drive to the east and you are in the renowned Silver valley, a few miles north and you will arrive at Silverwood Theme Park and a little farther you will be a Schweitzer ski area.

We had a wonderful time! The location is unbeatable and close to a great park for our kids. It’s very walkable and quiet. Close to the CDA resort and a short walk to the river and lake. The house was charming and efficiently stocked. The primary bed was very comfortable and my husband and I both slept great! The fireplace and hot tub were our favorite features! The host was very communicative and kind as well. Would definitely stay again. If you are sensitive to pets, this may not be the place as it is pet friendly. But otherwise, it’s a fantastic and charming find, especially in the winter when we went.

We had a great stay at the cottage. It was clean and comfortable with lovely amenities; they even had some simple holiday decorations which was such a nice touch. We look forward to staying here again on future visits to Cda!

This is the second time we have stayed in this cottage, we wouldn't stay anywhere else. It has all of the amenities a small family would want, my husband is a veteran and has a service k9 that was welcomed as well. Highly recommend, the host checked in on us to make sure everything was great via phone call.
