The place is well hidden in the mountains, and getting there is a bit "alternative". You need a car. However, when you arrive there is like finding an alternative paradise. I stayed in a one bedroom flat, with your own outdoor space. The hosts are just amazing really welcoming and accommodating. The swimming pool is lovely and you can use it at all times.
The road to get to the cortijo is not paved, and you need a sturdy car.

Cortijo Jamaica stole my heart. Hidden in the Andalusian hills, just 20 minutes from Motril, this peaceful spot felt like a little piece of home far from everything. Surrounded by nature, with the gentle sound of cicadas in the background, I felt completely at peace.
The house is full of soul with everything you need to feel comfortable. Every night under the stars felt magical. And the family hosting us? Truly special. Kind, welcoming, and with a warmth that makes you feel like more than just a guest.
If you’re looking for a place where time slows down and your heart feels full, Cortijo Jamaica is where you’ll find it. I already miss it and I’ll definitely be back. !
