The apartment was perfect for our spring trip with two families. We ended up spending most of our time in the large kitchen, cooking delicious Italian meals.The atmosphere and the view from the apartment is magical. The village itself is beautiful but very small and quite remote. A great place for quiet time with family and friends. We would gladly come back!

We loved to stay at casa terra. It is a beautiful house with everything that we needed. The fireplace gives it a very cozy touch and warms the house also on rainy days. The house is placed in the mountains and in a cute small village with a lot of cats. In the valley we could find all we needed, supermarket and pharmacy e.g.. Lucca is a beautiful city but also visiting Florence, Siena, Pisa and Levorno was possible from our place. The hosts are wonderful people and asked whether we needed anything and gave us all the information we needed. Loved it! Would recommend :)

The house was exactly as we imagined it. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain during our stay. This led to minor problems with the roof. The owner always tried to solve the problems very quickly. The location on the mountain is... well... no internet, hardly any radio on the drive to the house... you have to know that. Cities like Pisa or Florence can be reached quickly. We enjoyed our stay despite the bad weather!

The house is just endless beautiful, the owner are extremely friendly and helpful. We had a great time. The kids had enough space to play and run and the adults could easily relax. Very nice kitchen, everything is functional and clean. Big and comfortable beds. The location is great, close to the sea, trekking routes and beautiful cities and villages. We hade a great mixture of adventure and relaxed time. I strongly recommend the house to everyone who loves the toscany countryside and searches for a peaceful time. One drawback has to be mentioned. Within the house you strongly hear all movements of the neighboring houses which disturbed our sleep from time to time. The same is true for the very loud church bell. Everything else was just wonderful.

This was our second visit to this beautiful house. Lisa and Luca are a fantastic couple and so easy to deal with. The house is truely amazing. It is everything you imagine when you think of Tuscany and boveglio is a gorgeous little village close to bagni di lucca for supplies and wine. I would recommend this place to anyone

We really enjoyed our stay. Very picturesque setting after we had driven up the winding road to the home. Very neat and clean and full of antique furniture which went well with the area. Beautiful patio areas with fruit trees and flowers. Plenty of space for our family of 6. Highly recommend

This lovely villa gave us a real taste of Tuscany. We cooked, relaxed and enjoyed the views. There was room for all of us to have our own space, but also share dinners and conversations. The kitchen had everything we needed to do some real Tuscan dinners.

First of all ,you definatly need a car! The long and winding beautiful drive up is not for the faint hearted. You are well rewarded with the stunning views and serenity of the place. It is exactly what we expected. Everything was perfect , Luca was so generous with helping us with the wifi. We enjoyed the comfort and the views. The surrounding villages and city's are so charming. We were 4 women traveling in Italy. This Boveglio property is located in a tiny village up in the mountains. The first time up the road is a bit daunting but you get used to it! The house has a panoramic view of the mountains and the plains below that is stunning. We each had our own beautiful bedroom which was special. There is a deck as well as garden areas in which to enjoy a glass of wine. Luca our host was amazing! So nice and very helpful. He gave us restaurant recommendations and checked in each day to make sure we were doing okay. He is perfecting his English but between English, French and Italian we had no trouble communicating. We, unfortunately did not have an opportunity to meet his wife Lisa. The house may seem far from everything but once you are off the mountain so much of Tuscany is within driving distance. We traveled to a winery south of Florence in about 90 minutes. It is also close to Pisa as well as the ocean. And don't miss Collodi, the home of the Pinocchio author. Touristy but quaint. We traveled up the road to visit some more small villages and were surprised to find some rather large cities seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Great mountain views. We highly recommend this home for a stay.

My family and I stayed at Casa Terra over the Christmas holidays. Everything was as it claimed to be. In many ways, the house is even lovelier than the photos. Lisa and Luca were terrific hosts, even providing us with a Christmas tree and decorations! The house was warm, the kitchen great for cooking festive meals, the views stunning and the walks gorgeous. It is a switchback road up to Boveglio so you do need to leave more time to drive places than the mileage would make you think, and the remoteness does mean that phone reception and wifi could be spotty but, if that doesn't bother you, you could not rent a more perfect place.

Since arrival all the way to departure our stay at Casa Terra has been amazing. The owners - Lisa and Luca - were really kind and made sure that everything went smooth by making reservations for us and always being there when needed. The house is located at a reasonable distance to all major cities and towns in Tuscany and Umbria as long as you have the transport. Everything is serene and quiet guaranteeing that you'll have exactly what you came for - peace and quiet in a beautiful country. I am my whole family are definitely recommending Lisa and Luca as hosts and their Casa Terra and look forward to visiting Tuscany again.

We really enjoyed our time at CasaTerra. The property is very high in the mountain which was a bit daunting at first but we loved the views and the air there. The house had everything we needed and we were all very comfortable. I am more accustomed to a list of "things to know" but Lisa was very quick to answer any query, despite the language barrier! We loved our stay in Italy and the area was exactly what we wanted. The drive to Pisa and Florence, as well as Bologna and Venice were easy and it was worth the trip to give us the lodgings that we desired. We would go again to stay in this home.

What a beautiful and charming villa! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Terre and it made our Italian vacation that much better. Lisa has put in so many neat touches to the house and it is just as the pictures show. We loved walking through the town of Boviglio and spending evenings in front of the fire. We were able to take trips to visit Lucca, Pisa and Florence from here and would definitely return in the future!

A year has passed and yes we did keep our promise to return to Tuscany. Not alone this time, but with the rest of the family...our 2 daughters and my mother in law. Casa Terra was our first and ONLY choice. Lisa, Luca and the lovely Casa Terra were awaiting our arrival and once again they welcomed us "Home". When we returned to the Netherlands last year, my wife and I could not stop talking about the Beautiful house we stayed at and its most charming owners. We promised to return someday with the children to share Tuscany with them. We had hoped for the Summer vacation but circumstances did not permit. In Autumn this year we finally landed in Bologna and drove on to Boveglio, stopping to visit beautiful places enroute. We spent one beautiful week at Casa Terra and once again enjoyed the hospitality of our host and hostess. We also once again experienced the beauty of Tuscany and our city visits included Firenze, Siena, Lucca to name a few. We also visited the caves in the Garafagnana , castles along the way and took a long drive through the Chianti area. Italian countryside at its best!! Spectacular vineyards and olive orchards!!! We indulged ourselves with delightful Italian cuisine and wine. Pity it all had to come to an end… like all good things do. We had the privilege of meeting their son and getting to know them better. Our children and my mother in law, together with us truly enjoyed this one week. We are looking forward to our next visit. We thank you for a wonderful time dear Lisa and Luca. A dream of Tuscany, a 2 1/2 month stay *****

The owners of this lovely well maintained and updated old stone house, did everything possible to make our stay comfortable and convenient for our needs. The house is cool, comfortable, offering amenities, exactly as described, to fit the needs of any short or long term travelers. The kitchen had every possible amenity to accommodate our daily cooking although a fabulous restaurant is not far away in Benabbio. We had our own garden on the patio which we joyfully tended each day, enjoying fabulous fresh herbs and zucchini almost daily. The tomatoes have begun to ripen now as we prepare to leave. The wireless Internet worked surprisingly well for our stay only going out a few times for a short time, which was important to us as professional travel writers: We would recommend this interesting and well appointed home, not only for its comfort but for the care we received during our stay. For our extended stay, the owners found us a local cleaning lady, Santina, who came once a week for a very reasonable price to clean the entire house. There is a clock tower next door that chimes on the hour and half hour. Surprisingly, although light sleepers by the first night, it never woke us up. Across the road, there is an old church with a bell tower that chimes every Saturday evening around 5 PM for 5 or 6 minutes. Its delightful, never failing to attract our attention. We posted a video on YouTube if you'd like to hear. What a beautiful summer we spent here, overlooking the massive gardens, hearing the songs of birds we'd never known, of watching the season change and seeing the loving care the owners took of maintaining the houses, including this one, that have have in Boveglio, Lucca, Tuscany, Italy. As retired world travelers with much world to see, I doubt we'll come back but we highly recommend this property to those seeking a quiet and charming respite from the trials and tribulations of daily life in bigger cities. Thank you, Lisa and Luca. We'll always remember our time at Casa Sotto La Torre.

Have just returned from an 11 day stay at this wonderful farmhouse. The house is beautifully furnished. It feels like you are stepping back in time and yet has every modern convenience you could require. The views from the windows are breathtaking and were just as compulsive on the last day of our stay as the first. The drive up to the village is much easier than I thought it was going to be and the drive down to Bagni di Lucca has magnificent views and is great fun round the hairpin bends. Even for someone who suffers terribly from vertigo like myself! The beautiful mountain village lets you feel remote from the world but it is really easy to access all the sights of Tuscany. During our relatively short stay we visited Pisa, Lucca, Siena, Chianti country, Pistoia, Monticatini, Florence (of course) and many smaller places besides. All in all a wonderful place to get a true taste of Tuscany. Highly recommended. Luca and Lisa, thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable. Die Wohnung „Terra“ im wunderschönen Steinhaus „Casa sotto la Torre“ liegt auf einem Hügel ein bisschen abseits größerer Städte. Die Wohnung ist äußerst liebevoll und mit einem Auge fürs Detail hergerichtet und lädt so zum gemütlichen Beisammensein ein. Auch der Garten ist sehr schön und hat einen kleinen Spielturm mit Rutsche, der für unsere Kinder der perfekte Spielplatz war. Die Eigentümer haben sich hervorragend um uns gekümmert und uns hilfreiche Tipps weitergeleitet. Alles in allem definitiv einen Aufenthalt wert …

Siamo stati nella casa Terra 2 notti di fine inverno e ci siamo trovati molto bene, questo sia quando fuori soffiava un vento forte pieno di pioggia che quando la nebbia di inizio primavera saliva dalla vallata. I proprietari sono stati presenti ma discreti e in generale penso che ci tengano a far in modo che gli ospiti possano godersi la vacanza. Attenzione a non confondere i vari appartamenti della proprietà (4) e relative foto come è successo a noi.

Casale comodissimo, pulito, confortevole e ben riscsldato. Un camino bello e grande dove abbiamo fatto delle buonissime grigliate. Avevamo portato il caldobagno da accendere per fare la doccia, non è mai servito. Lo consiglio a tutti, anche per chi ha bambini perché fuori al giardino ci sono anche le giostrine. Noi abbiamo una cagnolina che si è divertita tantissimo a correre nel giardino!!! Insomma che aspettate, prenotate subito!!!

Das Haus befindet sich in einem kleinen Bergdorf. Die Fahrt dorthin ist ziemlich abenteuerlich. Die Spur ist schmal und zählt unzählige Serpentinen. Oben angekommen wird man schnell dafür entschädigt: das alte Steinhaus versprüht einen unglaublichen Charme! Die Aussicht ist traumhaft und der Garten ein kleines Duftparadies. Rosmarin wächst hier in Büschen, daneben Thymian, Salbei und Lavendel. Dazwischen gibt es eine Feuerstelle, die zum Grillen einlädt. Unter der Weinlaube lässt es sich prima schlemmen. Für die Kinder gibt es eine Ritterburg zum Klettern und Rutschen. Die Wohnung selbst ist liebevoll eingerichtet, alle Zimmer haben eine gute Größe. Im nächstgrößeren Ort gibt es ein Schwimmbad, eine Ortschaft weiter einen Fluss. Wen es weiter and Meer zieht, muss mit mindestens einer Stunde Fahrt rechnen. Das lässt sich jedoch gut mit einem Tagesausflug nach Lucca oder Pisa verbinden.

We spent four days at Casa Terra in Boveglio. The place was amazing. It had its own fireplace and a wonderful kitchen. The view from the balcony and most of the rooms is spectacular, as the house is situated on a mountainside. Luca was an amazing host, who gave us great suggestions for sightseeing and restaurants nearby. Highly recommended.

No podría haber sido mejor... La zona es preciosa, muy tranquila y rodeada de naturaleza. La casa es MARAVILLOSA! En cuanto entras te sientes como en casa, muy acogedora, muy cálida y soleada... In the beginning I was a bit skeptical as other experiences from other users with FeWo were not too good and the payment procedure is not customer orientated and the information about the owner was very thin. In addition the communication with the owner was not as smooth as I thought. Finnally, however, everything worked out very well. The house was exactly like on the picture and fuuly equiped; maybe just the WLAN was not always stable. The owner - Luca - was very friendly. I can recommend the place for people who like to take a time out in the middle of Italy in a quite authentic village away from tourists. If you want you can go downhill to the hot beaches or the cultural places in Lucca and Florence or just enjoying the cool, peaceful breath of the montains.

Die Ausstattung der Ferienwohnung Casa Tierra lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die Wohnlage ist sehr ruhig. In dieser Wohnung gibt es einen kleinen Balkon, der 2-4 Personen Platz bietet und zu einem Glas Wein einlädt. Bei größerer Personenanzahl steht der Garten zur Verfügung. Hier kann auch gegrillt werden. Die Vermieter haben sich stets um unser Wohlbefinden erkundigt. Ein großes Lob an Lisa und Luca! In einem Zimmer sind 3 Einzelbetten untergebracht, wodurch dieses sehr beengt ist. Für 8 Personen ganz ideal, wir fühlten uns mit 9 Personen, darunter 5 Kinder aber auch so 2 Wochen lang richtig wohl. Aufgrund der Höhenlage von über 800 Meter entgeht man nachts der Toskana-Hitze. Durch die Waschmaschine kann auf größere Gepäckmengen verzichtet werden, ebenso ein großes Plus. Aus unserer Sicht ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Wir kommen gerne wieder! Kleiner Tages-Ausflugs-Tipp: Auf jedenfall das Fluss-Canyoning Orrido di Botri mitmachen. Dies ist für Kinder ab 6 Jahre geeignet. Die Forstverwaltung nimmt 2 EURO Gebühr und gibt dafür Helme aus.

Die sehr große Wohnung "Casa Terra" ist von Lisa und Luca mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet worden. Das Ambiente ist ländlich, rustikal. Das Haus liegt umgeben von Wäldern am Rande von Boveglio auf dem dem Bergkamm zwischen Collodi und Bagni di Luca. Die Wohnung ist ein ein wunderbares Ferienziel insbesondere wenn man in einer kleinen Gruppe oder mit Familie anreist. Die Fahrt auf der schmalen, kurvenreichen Strasse zu dem Objekt ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber machbar. In der Gegend gibt es zahlreiche Ausflugsziele, so dass die Zeit nicht lang wird.
