Urban Elephants Hostel

Was close to the centre and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Where to begin?! Without exaggeration, this was the best hostel experience I have had so far 💫—and I have experienced and worked in my fair share of hostels prior to this. The main reason this hostel stood out to me in such a special way was the fabulous community Urban Elephants shares with its sister hostel, Wild Elephants. As most of the activities happened at Wild Elephants, I got to meet volunteers mainly over there, even though I stayed at Urban Elephants. That’s why I wrote a separate review for the lovely Wild 'Elephanters'. Regardless of whether they are Urban🐘 or Wild🐘 now - my personal thanks to them is mostly in my other review, as I met them through Wild Elephants Hostel. But the one person I most associate with my (very short 😄) nights at Urban Elephants is Zoey. Zoey is the human version of a cinnamon roll 🥯🤗🌟—she even lent me her laptop so I could download pictures from my digi-cam, and she always has the best tips up her sleeve. Truly the final boss—in the best possible way. If you arrive and she’s at reception, you are in the best hands 🙌 The hostel itself had everything a good hostel needs: a kitchen, a large sitting area, clean rooms, and plenty of bathrooms. But most importantly, there’s a group chat you can join while you’re there (obviously not compulsory), where you get informed about all the daily activities planned by the Elephants hostels. From the classic pub crawl to drawing sessions or even a native Slovak lunch together, there’s a wide range of lovely experiences you can choose from. Just like the interior design of the hostels, the activities felt thoughtfully curated and full of love 🫶 I did some sightseeing on my own, as usual, but the activities I joined at the hostels left me with such a deep sense of joy. The volunteers at Urban/Wild Elephants Hostel are that rare kind of people—genuinely beautiful inside and out—and they work incredibly hard to give guests a truly special experience.

Zoe was the best! Great manager making sure she run the place and making it a fun place. Kitchen 10/11 showers 10/11 staff 1000/10 Rio and Cole were the best lads I’ve met in my life
