5 The Coach House

Very clean apartment with stylish coastal decor, comfortable sofas, sea view and a very well equipped kitchen. It's in an attractive old coach house building and the location was better than it sounded in the description. Don't be put off by having to drive through the Londis car park, it's actually all quite low key and pleasant, and from the apartment you can only see the back of the shop which is a normal house-type building. It was a quiet and peaceful location when we were there. Parking is easy and spacious. The huge beach is just across the road.

The first thing that hit us when we arrived was the strong smell of artificial scents, presumably various cleaning products and room fresheners, which was very unpleasant. The bedding and towels also had excessively strong scents. I had to wash my towel and air-dry it before I could bear to use it. The king bed was not comfortable for us, it seemed strangely lumpy, soft and bouncy. My husband had to bail out to the double upstairs which was a much better mattress but too small for us both to get a good night's sleep. (We're not huge people but we have a super-king at home so are used to more space!) The beams in the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom are very easy to hit your head on, even if you're not tall. This is mentioned in the description but we were still surprised by how close to the beds the beams were. We were annoyed that there were dogs all over the very large beach, even though they are only allowed at one end of it.

Das Coach House liegt wie beschrieben direkt vor dem Strand mitten in der Ortschaft. Man kann von dort alles zu Fuß erreichen, der Londis Shop nebenan hat alles, was man zum Leben braucht und es gibt zwei wirklich gute Restaurants nebenan. Das Gastgeschenk, dass auf uns gewartet hat, war ganz wunderbar und liebevoll zusammengestellt. Vielen Dank dafür. Ansonsten ist das Haus eingerichtet, wie man es selber machen würde, wenn man dort leben wollte. alles in allem eines der besten Ferienhäuser, in denen wir jemals waren.

Fantastic location, exceptional facilities and everything provided. The layout was perfect and beautifully decorated.

The only thing which we found awkward was the upstairs shower screen being quite a small gap to get into.
