Lancaster House

We loved the spaciousness and the location of the house. Being just one minute walk to Sandown high street and two minute walk to the sea front and beach was great.

No garden but we knew that before we booked, so not an issue.

Lancaster House was perfect with a large open plan modern kitchen and lounge, coupled with a separate large dining room - providing plenty of downstairs space for the five of us. The downstairs toilet and shower room was also very handy. Upstairs, the three well-appointed double bedrooms were all very comfy and spacious with plenty of space for clothes. The upstairs bathroom with toilet and bath with shower overhead were conveniently situated for ease of access. Lancaster House was literally one minute walk from the beach, with shops, pubs and restaurants all within a minute or two walk. We enjoyed our stay so much, we have already rebooked for 2026.

Ideally there would be a garden but we knew there wasn’t one when we booked and it proved not to be a problem because of the close proximity to the beach.

Location great - very close to beach and shops. Comfortable bedrooms and plenty of comfortable seating. A great base from which to explore the island.

Parking not always easy but the car park is only a few minutes walk away so this didn't really matter once the cars were unloaded.
