Lovely, relaxing week in a superb seaside cottage

Superb location. Attentive host. Kitchen small but well equipped. Plenty of towels. We really enjoyed our stay, the place had a “away from it all” feel!

great stay in an out of a way place

I liked the cosiness of this property. it was clean and tidy and had an amazing view of the bay below and on a clear night the view of the stars was simply fantastic. There is ample parking just a few feet away from the front door and a little play park for the kids which was a good size too. the kids loves playing there. the neighbour also informed me that sometimes, on a clear night, you can see the northern lights and the hill adjacent which I wish I knew about before I left. it is really close to the pretty empty beach down either hill as it goes in a big circle. gotta be wary of the hills though as one is 25% gradient and other is 35% gradient. there is parking on the beach too which was ample. to it’s credit this place is quiet and peaceful and not far from Beaumaris, Bangor, newborough, Holyhead. everywhere in Anglesey. I’ve put some pictures of the views and the beach and it’s parking. I did take pics of the place but my kids are on them so I’m not gonna share them.

not big deals but you can’t park right outside the house as it would block the neighbouring house. you have to cross the road which does have cars coming past every so often. I thought the location was more central but it is pretty much in the middle of nowhere (which isn’t a bad thing), the kitchen is small and the washer and dryer is in a different location than onsite, it’s in the owners garden in a sort of outhouse which is fine on a clear day but if it’s raining and stormy can be a bit difficult but again not a major issue. the sloping ceiling in the master bedroom REALLY slopes as I found out with a banged head but once you’re aware all is good. I would really recommend this place if you’re looking for peace and quiet out of the way with some great views. but if you’re wanting restaurants and pubs and supermarket to be close by I wouldn’t recommend. Again, this is a great place and Olwen the owner was very amiable and kind.

A treasured find!

The view from this holiday cottage is stunning. The locality is so peaceful the busiest thing being the bees! The cottage is lovely, well equipped and nothing is too much trouble for owners Olwen & John. Would highly recommend if you want peace & tranquility in a beautiful setting.

Nothing not to like except to say the kitchen is really small and compact BUT Olwen has literally equipped it so well with everything you would need. Only thing missing was an ice cube tray in the freezer for our drinks.

Location, comfortable,clean, overlooks the sea and beach, special area across from the cottage, with bench and table , barbecue, play area for young children. John and Olwen are so welcoming what a lovely couple

Amazing views, fabulous accommodation, lovely people we WILL be returning!!!

The location of Ysgubor Ddegwm Bach was superb with fabulous views of the large sandy bay and out to sea. John & Olwen were absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough for us. The cottage is gorgeous, spotlessly clean, quality bedding and fittings everywhere. The local neighbours were equally welcoming. The Isle of Anglesey is beautiful, so much coastline with amazing views. We will definitely be returning!!!!
