Harpers brook house, Netflix TVs and fast WIFI

Great family home and well presented property, plenty of room for all the family,ensuite and room sizes were nice too,beds comfy, could chill in the garden or take a walk to park and shops, good location in nice area and close to local shops and park. Netflix and smart tv’s in every room was good for all the family to unwind too. Good communication from host and great extra time to check out although cleaner arrived before this. As long as minor repair issues sorted i would recommend and definitely stay again.

Unable to use front bedroom due to wet and damp smell from floor which gave the front of property hallway an unpleasant smell despite carpet looking like new which was a shame. Reported to host during stay with consideration of plumber attending which was effective from host if was necessary before we checked out. Shower head in Ensuite bathroom could do with replacing as this was not sprinkling water correctly. There was also a few items of clothing and rubbish in first floor balcony bedroom which had not been removed from previous person or cleaner. On day of exit/ departure I noticed there was quite a lot ants on ground hallway floor which was near front bedroom and damp area, this was reported to cleaner. Despite this house and stay was pleasant and children were happy. Nothing to do with host but booking.com consistently messaging me for a damage deposit which was quite high however this did not come from the host and booking.com does not allow for hosts to override or remove this or stating this is not from host directly so this left me a little unsure on arrival day and what was expected and could put people off from booking due to amount or confusion.

Made a very pleasant change to staying in a hotel room

TV signal wasnt great and Wifi connection slow so Netffilx would n't work

Negative reviews are not something I ususally do - but in this case it needs it The whole house looks unloved. First Impression was very dirtly front door!! It is desperate for a lick of paint with every wall dirty, marked and chipped. All hand rails were chipped and radiator paint peeling off all round the house. No shelves at all in the fridge door, Broken knobs on the cooker . Curtain tracks falling off in most rooms!!( in fact my husband brought in a screwdriver to make the bedroom one usable as it fell off the bracket) Both showers leak - and the top floor shower bracket is hanging on - just No plugs in the kitchen sink - or bathroom sink. Cracked mirror in ground floor bathroom Light shades falling to bits and hallway bare bulb Garden is not in a good state, with broken fencing, overgrown plants and cigarette butts everywhere
