Do not stay there with family and small children. Very dirty.

I really like the view from the room. This was the only positive side of this apartment. It was very dirty, smell awful, dirty matras, dirty couch. Very cold and unpleasant stay with small child and my mom. We spend there 3 hours and left the apartment.

No TV, sofa bed very uncomfortable, floor cracked, shower water builds up and took long time to drain, no air con and due to being on high floor and in constant sunlight apartment was always very hot and not ideal for comedowns.

Check-in is great, even tho u have to pay with PayPal for the tourist fee if u don’t have cash, location is amazing, nice apartment in general

HORRIBLE fraud when I checked out!!!! I was alone in my apartment, my friend came to help me with bags in the morning and the guy who cleaned the rooms saw him coming, so he has seen that my friend was not in my apartment!!! The cleaning guy said that we have to pay 25€ for the second person even though I was alone for the whole night, he was rude and said that my friend has to leave now. I’ve asked if maybe then the cleaning guy wants to help me with bags, he said he doesn’t want to. Awful customer service, he was super rude and came 10:40 instead of 11:00 (checkout time). Be prepared for extra cash costs and for inadequate behavior of staff when u check out

The l9cation was very good.

Dirty. Holes in walls.Windows don't open. No fresh air. 3people bedding for 2. If it wasn't that we just stayed one night I would've walked away from this dump. Don't be fooled by the pictures.

the stove didn’t work. i sent a video to the staff but no reply about it. the wifi didn’t work contacted the staff about it and only got it fixed at around 7:30pm which didn’t help at all cause i was checking out the next morning anyway and had to use all of my mobile data to work from this property.

WIFI Connection wasn't Stable, and often not available! Staff have tried to solve the Problem by changing the Router, this only worked for a limited Period !! Very frustrating !! 😕

Seems budget friendly but it’s horrible and not worth the money, better stay somewhere else!

The apartment in general had a bit of a rundown look to it. The bed and mattress seemed to be sagging in the middle because it's cheap and obviously been used a lot. Someone had possibly punched a hole in the wall with their fist. The houseplants were all plastic. While at first sight the apartment looked clean the kettle looked disgusting inside, there was a big layer of dust on the lamps and most horrible of all there were actually a bunch of black hairs spread over the mattress cover and there was also a stain, this is absolutely not okay. When I complained the managers were not helpful at all, at first they didn't even feel like they should do anything for me to solve this situation. They told me to just sleep in another bed while this apartment only has one bed! Then they told me to just go find a different sheet in the messy cupboard in the hallway because they didn’t feel like coming to the apartment themselves. The sheet I checked was actually also stained. I was utterly exhausted after traveling from the other side of the world and I ended up leaving this place cause I could not make myself sleep in that disgusting bed. I contacted Booking to say I could not stay there and asked for a refund. When I left the apartment one of the managers was waiting outside, he apologised for the situation and promised me he would make sure I would get a full refund. Now a day later I have learned from booking.com that in fact Aspen Lodge is refusing me any refund at all and they have not replied to my message either, they’re just ignoring me now. Clearly they don’t care less about their customers. My advice is to stay away from this apartment and any others the same owners manage (it's quite a few of them). They might seem to be one of the more affordable places to stay in Antwerp but in reality it's so not worth the money and you might end up leaving just like me and having to pay for a more expensive hotel on top of this one!

Not worth the price, needs repaint and cleaning

The apartment is spacious and in the very center of the city. There are dishes and wifi.

However, it is incredibly dirty, there are a lot of strange spots on the walls, paintings and mirrors, window sills in the sand, I also found a forgotten waffle behind the curtain, cigarette stains and holes on the sofas, the windows aren't transparent from dirt stains. The style of the surface renovation gave the impression that the premises used to be industrial. The bed is two mattresses that're constantly moving apart, and 'cause of the softness, you seem to fall into a hole in the center. The windows are very blown and because of this the apartment is cold and noisy. The bed linen is wrinkled and like doesn't wash, every pillow in the house smells differently, two stink strongly, one with cologne, one with women's shampoo, there was someone else's hair on the supposedly clean towel. The faucet in the kitchen is very wobbly. Under the only entrance homeless people from the neighboring JobCenter slept every evening, once they tried to ring my intercom, but I didn't open the door. The area is good, but very close there is a choice of apartments slightly more expensive, but much better in quality, overhaul and the availability of everything inside. I chose because of the proximity to the station and was very disappointed in my choice.

On the expectations

Great, the keys were delivered to an office at 2:00 p.m., the staff is very friendly and willing to answer all questions. The accommodation was quiet and the large window with views of the city opera stood out, no doubts I would repeat it!

The location is great. Close to Central station, the shopping street, pretty old buildings and other tourist spots are all within walking distance.

The key pickup is a 25minute walk from Central station. I didn't book a studio close to the station to walk almost an hour back and forth to get the key. Pictures in the ad are not representative of the place. Witch gave me wrong expectations. The place was fine, functioning but old and not very clean. The bed was two old mattresses stacked on each other with a bug hole in the middle. Not very comfy but ok for one night. The toilet has ho light, I was alone and could leave the door open, but might be something good to know. And the lift is a bit scary if you don't like very small slow lifts. The place is very noisy. Lot of sound from the street, understandable because you are very much in the center. But the studio was very hot at night, so much so that sleeping was uncomfortable. I had to open the windows for air, and in came the noise.

The procedure to go get the keys is super annoying if you come from the station and have to drag your suitcase all across the city centre, to then come back to the apartment. Makes you waste a lot of time, especially because I had chosen the apartment just because it was near the station. The place is ok, super big and quite clean. Just the entrance and the building are a bit creepy, and it didn't feel as a very safe area, but it might just be because I was alone

fluffy old double mattress on broken bed frame Physical key, guy complaining about my night time arrival. He charged me tourist tax upon arrival, in cash. Sorry, but i don't have cash on me any more these days, and please just include it in the price. Great location, dirty entrance, weird space, kitchen but zero plates, cups, cutlery, terrible bed!, great shower, error in the wifi code.

More homely than a hotel room, would use again.

Nice apartment in the centre of Antwerp, a few minutes walk from the railway station and overlooking the bus station. Keys collected from a different location but no great problem and a full explanation of the prperty was given. Simple to use kitchenette area ,with a couple of small supermarkets nearby for supplies. Good shower.

Softer matress than I'm used to ,didn't affect the night's sleep once away though.
