Beautiful old building, probably XVlll - XlX century, well maintained & tastefully restored where necessary. Located in the original town square. Plentiful original features. I would describe this place as a 'character hotel'. Antique furniture abounds in the lounges. Lovely original curved marble staircase with iron railings & wooden bannister. Eclectic decorations. There is a beautiful & very classy restaurant and wine store in the basement - unfortunately closed when I stayed, but Diego who was supervising the hotel kindly gave me a tour. There are a couple of decent restaurants within 50 yards. Excellent Spanish style breakfast (pan con tomate y jamón, jugo de naranja, pastel y cafe) served in a small courtyard at the rear. Special thanks to Diego, a very friendly & helpful guy.
Parking can be a bit tricky, but that is normal in Spain. I was lucky however, & found street parking 50 yards away.
