PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
It is a typical Galician house. It has three double bedrooms and two full bathrooms, swimming pool, barbecue, and 2000m of fenced garden, surrounded by nature. From our house, you can visit all of southern Galicia and northern Portugal: (Vigo, Cies Islands, La Guardia, Santiago, orense etc) .They will feel at home. We also speak several languages.(English, a little French, Portuguese etc.) We are 25 kl from Vigo, 4 from Portugal, 15 from Mondariz Spa. etc, it is a quiet and well connected area, ideal to spend a few days on vacation, with family, friends, etc. a cordial greeting.

A beautiful property, isolated from any kind of disturbance. Well managed by Fernando, the property is clean throughout. The private pool is a real treat that the entire family loved. We would love to stay again during our future travels.

A pretty house, lovely garden and fabulous swimming pool in a country area, with the coast about 40 minutes drive away. Very helpful and kind proprietor, house clean and well-equipped. Salvaterra-de-Mino about 8 mins drive has several supermarkets, butchers, cafés and probably the only restaurant serving lots of veggie and vegan food (alongside meat and fish) in rural Galicia.

The host Fernando was most helpful, he was able to flex the dates and also provided us with a map of his ‘best places to visit’, which we followed and it worked well. Fernando lives in a small house at the end of the garden when he’s not living in the Casa Mary. It’s a really good centre for visiting the northern Portugal. We were there for 7 days and found new places to go to or good places to revisit every day.
The house itself is typical of old rural properties. It has small windows and in places lower than anticipated ceilings. The rooms are small, the kitchen was only really big enough to have one person in at a time. The other rooms would be pushed to accommodate six people. We arrived in the midst of thunder storm and very soon after the kitchen lights tripped out. Fernando was able to direct us to the very quickly to the fuse board.
The front windows of the house are covered with by a veil of Virginia creeper. Also draped in creepers was the covered outside barbecue area, which we enjoyed a number of times.
The pool at the end of the garden and invisible from the house was very good. It’s about 5 feet deep throughout and long enough to swim happily for some time. Fernando kept it really clean, it was a real pleasure.
