We had a fantastic stay at this well-equipped and very clean apartment. It had everything we needed and more – and the view of the sea was simply breathtaking. The host was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made us feel very welcome.
One small thing to keep in mind: if you have a cat allergy, be aware that previous guests may have let a neighborhood cat into the apartment. The cat seemed quite used to coming inside, and I noticed my allergy reacting slightly. Other than that, everything was perfect and we would definitely recommend staying here!

What an amazing place! So peaceful with a balcony to enjoy sunrise/sunset or just relax and enjoy the views. Inside the cottage is well equipped and a good size for four. Modern interior with lots of space and everything you could need to self cater.
Good location for mount Pico but also not far from Madalena for other activities (whale watching etc)
Best value for money of anywhere we have stayed and we would definitely return.
Maybe air conditioning would make the nights a little more comfortable. We had some stormy nights so had to close the windows which did make it a little stuffy but not enough to prevent sleep or a return visit

The views towards Sao Roque are gorgeous, the views up the mountain are gorgeous, the area is very nice, scenic, and quiet.
We travelled in March, which is still winter on the island with 10°C / 50°F at night. The house has no heating - none. We asked for a little heater, but we were refused. The house is humid, a normal thing on the island in the winter, a bit of heating would have made the stay more enjoyable. We would consider the house again in the summer, but never the winter (November to April).
The space upstairs smelled a bit of pigeon, bird droppings. It may be worth checking the attic.
