Venetian era - Doukades center loft apt

 We had the pleasure of staying in a well-equipped apartment with everything needed for a comfortable visit. One of the absolute highlights was the taverna “To Steki,” owned by the host—truly exceptional cuisine, possibly the best we've had in Greece.

However, the location proved to be quite noisy. Despite being in a small village, the area is very lively, with three popular restaurants nearby that stay busy until late at night. Additionally, the road in front of the property is narrow and constantly busy, starting early in the morning, which added to the noise levels. The wooden roof unfortunately does little to insulate against the sounds. Parking was another challenge. There is no space to unload luggage directly at the property, and the nearest public parking is about 250 meters away. Also, there was no convenient area to dry swimsuits, as water runoff affects the neighbors below. Lastly, the second floor is not suitable for elderly guests due to the stairs, and the mattress was quite firm, which may not be comfortable for everyone. Overall, while the apartment has many strengths and the food was unforgettable, the noise and accessibility issues may be worth considering depending on your needs.

Very well equiped appartment in a small authentic and friendly village very close to the nicest beaches and other things to see and do. Small balcony perfect for drinking coffee while waking up. Some restaurants and a small café/minimarket for breakfast. Perfect location!

Bed was a bit hard but think that's personal 😊 Aircon was bit loudish but no big drama for us. You have to push very hard on the remote control to switch on/off 😉 Lively village with some tourists (not too much) in the evening en locals in the morning so don't expect total silence but we loved it.

abends hat man nicht immer fliessend Wasser (Dusche, Toilette, Küche), aber das ist auch woanders so

The location was very handy (splitting the distance between the north beaches and the city). The village was beautiful. There was espresso capsules and fresh fruit when we checked in. There was a fully functioning air condition.

It was impossible to sleep. The property is located above 3 restaurants and there was very loud chatter and laughter until really late (as late as 3 am) and from very early (as early as 8 am). The property was clean when we checked in, but no one cleaned it (e.g. empty the bathroom trash can, renew the towels and sheets etc) during our 6-night stay. There was no shampoo or body wash, which was very uncomfortable when we checked in. The host never reached out to check if we need anything. The village was left without a water supply for 2 consecutive afternoons and not even then did they reach out to let us know. We returned to a room, in which we couldn't bathe, use the toilet or brush our teeth.
