Gelegen in een heel mooie omgeving, is dit een topverblijf om tot rust te komen. De eigenares probeert op een ecologische manier te werken zonder op comfort in te boeten en dat lukt wonderwel. Wij hebben erg genoten.

Everything about Maison des Quatre Saisons was just wonderful. Delphine is a charming and truly dedicated hostess, and the facilities are everything that should be expected of a French country house - a relaxing garden and swimming pool (very much appreciated during the recent heat wave!), comfortable rooms with insect screens so that even on a warm night we were comfortable with a cool breeze, a self-catered, home-made dinner that persuaded us to dine in to fully enjoy our surroundings, and possibly the best breakfast we've ever been served in a B&B. Delphine has a refined eye for detail, takes obvious pride in her delightful home, and went out of her way to ensure we fully enjoyed every part of our stay. And when I realised I had left some clothing behind she quickly found it and had it parcelled up for my collection a few days later! Don't expect a "five-star resort", but if you are seeking a charming, homely, comfortable, peaceful country escape (surrounded by the vines of Entre-deux-Mers), then Maison des Quatre Saisons should be on your list.

There was nothing we didn't like about Maison des Quatre Saisons, and the only things that could in theory be improved upon are things that can't in practice be changed in an old house and without a huge investment. With a blank slate and a healthy budget, you might design the layout somewhat differently, you might have more self-catering facilities and air conditioning and a full-time gardener to keep everything just so, but then you might (likely) also lose much of the charm of this place, and it doesn't pretend to be "perfect" in these ways. So, really, I have no criticism.
