Brilliant family break with the dog.

Fantastic area, peaceful and beautiful surroundings. It was private and very comfortable. The property and outdoor areas are all very dog friendly. We had a small issue with the first property but Ally & Jason were very quick to respond and manage the problem, they weren’t able to sort it out, but moved us to another beautiful property and gave us an extra night for free. Which was fantastic and meant we continued to have a wonderful stay with them. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The cottage was beautiful, so well suited in the woods, and kitted out with everything you could ever need. Beds were so comfy and cosy too.

Amazing relaxing family time

Everything, every last detail Jason and Ally were amazing, cottage was amazing. Scenery, dog just roamed not on lead when going for walks. Amazingly peaceful place to relax.

One of the most memorable, relaxing and peaceful places in the world.

Sunshine 🌞 cottage is the cutest, most comfortable converted pig sty in the world. I stayed here for a week whilst exploring the local countryside on my horse and had the most fantastic time. Jason and Ally are such kind, welcoming hosts and have gone out of their way to create a truely unique and cosy environment for guests. I especially loved the tartan carpet, flowers and chocolates log burner and the beautiful walk down to the river. Thanks Ally and Jason. Your hospitality was really special ☺️🐴x.

A hidden gem with the perfect hosts !

We stayed in the Bonnie view lodge. It was in the most beautiful setting and so peaceful. A well equipped and wonderful layout, the lodge did not disappoint. Beds comfy, kitchen well equipped. The added bonus of the river and farmland, with paths created to allow for riverside and woodland walks. Ally and Jason have thought of everything. They were the perfect hosts, available if needed but not pushy or a constant presence. We loved our chats with Jason! I would highly recommend these lodges and cottages, we’ll definitely be back.

A wee cracker

Jason and Ally were amazing hosts and the Cottage had everything and more.The hosts gave us all the information on the surrounding area and were on hand if you needed anything,a real pleasure to stay,the log burning fire was fantastic and a highlight to the cottage,very comfortable to say the least They've thought of everything to make the stay as great as you could get, can't wait to return.

The cabin had everything you could want and more, definitely recommended!

Ally and Jason are lovely hosts and could not have been more welcoming. The cabin is perfectly situated in the quiet of the river valley, good hiking and wildlife spotting right outside the door and lovely beaches a 15 min drive away. The cabin has everything you'd need!

Lovely little lodge in a great location for walks and swimming In the river and not too far from excellent beaches. I liked everything about the place, only negative (although not really a negative as plenty to do) was no hot tub but due to its eco system probably not suitable to keep filling every change over and a very acceptable compromise x

Ally and Jason were so helpful and very dog friendly. Loved the dog welcome pack. 😄 It was great to have an enclosed garden and to be able to take her a walk down to the river. Seeing a kingfisher was a lovely bonus. We would love to go back for another break.

A lovely relaxing stay in a well maintained cottage with friendly, helpful hosts.

We stayed at the lovely old stone-walled Sunflower Cottage. It was immaculate, and had a new kitchen with all new equipment. It’s worth noting that there’s an excellent induction hob and microwave, and no oven, so shop for food appropriately if you’re planning on cooking during your stay. The twin beds were cosy, and it’s a very quiet location in the countryside, so we had some excellent sleeps. We enjoyed a scenic walk along the river bank, and there were several good places to visit within an easy drive from the property. Ally was an excellent host, friendly and helpful, and available if we needed anything, as she and Jason live on the property. Everything is very well organised and extremely well-run.

Because it’s a country location, the guest manual mentions the need for water conservation, and we totally agree with this. However, the shower was really hard to adjust to the hot water system and we had a few cool or only partially warm showers. Also we hadn’t initially realised that we had to turn on the hot water switch in the kitchen, but that was really our own error I guess. We wouldn’t find the shower at all enjoyable in winter, but as the bathroom was nice and warm (the heated towel rail is very efficient) it wasn’t a major detraction in summer.

Probably the best lodge we have stayed in that meets highest standards and equipped with everything.

Beautiful lodge, we have now been twice and plan to return hopefully in the summer. Dogs love it here, it’s very quiet and peaceful but plenty beautiful walks.

Ally & Jase were simply the perfect Hosts, nothing too much trouble for either of them. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage with stunning surroundings. The Deveron Valley Cottages have definately been added to my favourites & a return visit cant come soon enough. Thank you to you both for making our stay welcoming & comfortable.

Lovely rural hideaway and ideal if you are holidaying with your dog.

Lovely rural location, very peaceful and ideal for dog lovers. We stayed in Sunflower Cottage which was cosy and had everything you need for a perfect holiday. The owners are very nice people and care about their guests. There are good places to eat and drink within a few minutes' drive and the large town of Huntly is only ten miles away. Beautifull coastline with fishing villages, sandy beaches and lovely cliff top walking is only a short drive north. Don't miss the best ice cream shop in the universe at Portsoy. We hope to return very soon.

The best of country living with easy seaside accessibility.

The lodge was beautifully presented with everything we could have wanted or needed for the most comfortable of stays. The lodge was spotlessly clean, there were some lovely "Tunnocks" choccies waiting for us which was a lovely touch from Ally and Jase (they really do think of everything) The location was perfect for exploring the countryside and the coastal towns, our dog "Rosie" loved the wooded walk just behind the lodge, down to the river where she could swim. We loved our stay and will definitely return at some point in 2023 😊
