Fitzpatricks Inn

A really interesting and atmospheric place to stay if a little quirky. Never saw any staff members but the instructions on how to access the room were easy to follow. Really appreciated the extensive historical materials about the Inn in the folder in the room. We found the room enjoyably old fashioned. My son liked the museum of steam tractors and blacksmithing across the street. Would stay again in the unlikely event we're back in that part of Tassie.

There were not many food options nearby that were open by the time we arrived, so be aware and plan ahead. The beds were old and soft. I didn't mind, but some will.

Self check in at night. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Quiet neighbourhood. Crockery and cutlery were provided for self catering.

The local bistro was closed on Mondays but there were take away options.

Everything about this property stood out. The history, the booklets with commentary about the property and the Fitzpatrick sisters was very good. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the house and families. Our host Nigel and JC were very nice.

The fact we locked ourselves out of the house. It was our own fault and Nigel was nice enough to drive back and let us in.

Updated bathroom.

Curtains not properly hung. Small room. Motel room was not consistent with the front building promoting the property. Gardens were promoted but need attention.
