Had enough room.

Right off Hwy. Couch is broken. Pillows and beds uncomfortable. Ceiling in loft with the 2 beds is maybe 4 ft tall. Had to walk bent over.

The decor and feel of the cabin. The back view is nice enough. Nice sheets. Water pressure and hot water is good. The book is very helpful and owner is responsive. Loved the way the cabin is furnished . The living room and dining room were great. Air works really well.

Owner runs a business within the property loads of people all day also mistake the home for a store. The cabin is on a very busy main road just 10 ft door to road . Traffic is loud and constant. Not on description of cabin. Peace and quiet not available. Mediocre cleanliness. River not near the property and wood was wet with maggots. So not much of a fire outside. Some Food left in fridge expired in 2021 . Just not worth the price .

The living room is the highlight of the cabin with comfy sofas, a big screen TV, & a gas fireplace.

Bovard Lodge is a hunter's cabin at best. The living room is the highlight of the cabin with comfy sofas, a big screen TV, & a gas fireplace. The kitchen is large with all the necessaries except light. The whole cabin is wood and dark even on a sunny day. The rest of the cabin is not so great. The main bedroom has a bed in it that is so tall that I was afraid I would roll out and injure myself. There was a step on one side, however, that would not do for us, because we are up at odd times using the restroom. This is impossible to do without waking your partner to use the step. The other bedroom is up in the loft which is made for short people or children under 4’6”. I am 5’1” and had to lean over to avoid hitting my head on the ceiling. The only bathroom is very tiny, cold, and dark with no heat. The mirror is jammed into the right hand corner. So, I had trouble combing my hair and looking in the mirror at the same time. I was constantly banging my elbow (lefties will be fine) on the wall or hitting my head on the antler towel hanger on the wall to the right. The only storage in the bathroom was a tiny cabinet on the wall. It was filled to capacity with towels and dozens of bottles big & small with shampoo, conditioner, peroxide, alcohol, powder, & etc. Most of them had less than a few tablespoons of product in them. I had to clean out this cabinet & restack towels to create a small space for a few of our toiletries. There was no other space to put toiletries. The location was not convenient to The Ark Experience, as advertised. There wasn’t a clean/clear route to get there. We paid a required cleaning fee, yet received an email with a list of cleaning chores they wanted done before we left. The WiFi password didn't work so I ended up using a lot of expensive data and charging my phone constantly. After arriving home we received an email from the owner that said we owed them money. I do NOT recommend this cabin.

Exceptional

This was an awesome place to stay. We had everything needed while there. Very relaxing and comfortable. Rosemary and her grand daughter were very friendly and was always available if needed. We will be back for return visits.

Fantastic

This quaint lodge is ideal for a family who would like to get away and enjoy time together either at the lodge or doing many neat things in the surrounding area. We enjoyed The Ark Encounter and Creation Museum, but there are many other options available.
