About this farm stay rental
We welcome you to be our guests in our circa 1739 farmhouse (visit website: yankeedoodlefarmhouse.com) on 3 private acres surrounded by stone "whiskey walls". Lovingly maintained and fully furnished with modern amenities. Main house is 3800 sf with 11 rooms, including 6 bedrooms (3 with ensuite bathrooms), 4 total baths, and a cozy "Adventurer's Room" (den). Features beautifully restored hardwood floors, an open-plan kitchen/dining area with Shaker style cabinets and cook's granite-top island and all new appliances. Room is surrounded by windows and generous seating for large gatherings at a rustic pine farm table. Colonial center-chimney design gives the house its classic charm with a a wood burning stove for cozy winter nights in the Adventure room/den on first floor.
There is also a Solo fire pit stove outside and a Weber gas grill. Dining table outside under the pergola. Plenty of parking space available. Updates include a totally new conversion to geo-thermal heating and AC, 22kw generator, modern appliances, and new Anderson windows throughout main house.
Ideally located 5 mins from I-95, less than 10 mins from the Historic Stonington Borough (with sailboat marina and numerous restaurants and shops), the Mystic Aquarium, Mystic Seaport and Downtown Mystic. Other nearby attractions include award-winning wineries on the CT Wine Trail and two major casinos only 20 to 25 minutes away (Mohegan Sun Hotel & Casino and Foxwoods Resort Casino).
Many weddings take place in the area and the Yankee Doodle Farmhouse is the perfect setting for seasonal vacations and/or hosting family reunions and other special events.
If horseback riding is an interest, our neighbors operate a new 78-acre world-class equestrian center (see website: dragonflyequestrian.center).
Getting to Yankee Doodle Farmhouse is easy from three international airports and two nearby train stations:

The house itself was very well equipped and comfortable. There is room for everyone to have their own space if desired. I highly recommend this home. It was about 12 minutes from whatever you might like to do.

Lovely, spacious, quiet home rich with history!Our family of 5 + pup enjoyed a restful few days in late August/early September. Home felt perfectly safe and very clean. Kitchen is the most well-stocked we've ever encountered in a VRBO property. If you love cooking or baking, you'll have everything that you need at the Yankee Doodle Farmhouse!Trish and her husband were excellent hosts with lots of great local recommendations!
