The location was good the hotel across the road the food was excellent reasonable short walk to Sherwood forrest
Car park very tight we had two cars struggled to get in and out of the car when parked

Lavender House is located in Edwinstowe which is a busy village with plenty of restaurants and pubs within walking distance. Sherwood Forest is close-by and there are walks from the cottage. Overall, it is a comfortable and well-equipped property.
This is our third visit to the property over the last few years and sadly it feels like there is a slow decline in the upkeep of the property.
Several small issues that have been reported in other reviews - such as the hot water tap in the downstairs toilet and cracked mirrored doors in the bedroom remain, plus there was a small leak coming from the boiler.
Unfortunately the garden is extremely tatty, definitely not as shown in the photos. Such a shame as it is a lovely property overall.

We liked the parking, we had everything we needed for a good stay.
