. Las Mimbres is a house that was rebuilt in 2008, blending rustic and modern styles. When you walk through the door, you’ll find a spacious hallway with high ceilings and ceramic tiles on the ceiling, from which you’ll have access to two bedrooms—one with a twin bed and one with a double bed— the bathrooms, and the living room. The 60-square-meter space features three main rooms, a dining area, a TV, and a social gathering area. The kitchen and dining area are connected by a bar. The upper floor is accessed from the living room via a large wooden staircase. Here there are three bedrooms—one with a double bed and two with twin beds—and one bathroom. At the rear is the garden, which is accessible from the living room and kitchen, featuring a large table for 12 people and a barbecue...

Fuentes de Béjar is a very quiet town with a population of 300. It has two bar-restaurants, a pharmacy, and all the necessary services located within 5 km. From Guijuelo, known for its Iberian ham and sausages. The town is located in the “between the mountains” region.
The Sierra de Béjar, 15 km away, home to the La Covatilla, Candelario, and Castañar ski resorts.
The Batuecas-Sierra de Francia Natural Park is 50 km away; its villages include La Alberca, Mogarraz, and Miranda del Castañar, which is located next to Las Hurdes.
The historic city of Salamanca is 50 km away.

Hemos estado esté mes de agosto una semana en la casa rural de Las Mimbres. Éramos 4 parejas de amigos con tres niños. Lo hemos pasado genial. La cas tiene todas las comodidades y está muy bien decorada. Su patio de atrás es estupendo sobre todo con los niños donde incluso se refrescaban con la ducha. Hicimos varias barbacoas con carne de cerdo ibérico de Guijuelo.
El pueblo es muy tranquilo. Nosotros dimos varios paseos, asesorados por la dueña, muy agradables siempre rodeados de encinas.
También hicimos excursiones a Salamanca y La Alberca. E incluso varias tardes nos fuimos a bañar a una piscina que está a 1 Km.
Totalmente recomendable.

Hemos pasado un fin de semana genial tres matrimonios con seis niños pequeños. Nos ha gustado mucho la casa, tuvimos todo lo que necesitábamos. La casa está muy bien equipada, muy bien acondicionada y decorada con mucho gusto. Echamos de menos algún armario en las habitaciones. Muy agradecidos por el trato y la atención por parte de los propietarios.

Este fin de semana hemos estado un grupo de amigos en la casa llamada el huerto de catalina. La verdad es que al entrrar en la casa alucinamos de lo bonita y bien puesta que estaba. La decoracion es preciosa y el tamaño de todas las habitaciones y el salon es perfecto para un grupo de amigos. Dispone de una gran mesa, realizada en base a una puerta antigua y cubierta con un cristal, donde caben perfectamente hasta 12 comensales. Dispone de 3 baños (2 con ducha+1 con bañera) asi como un pequeño porche con barbacoa y hasta un huerto ( en verano esta en funcionamiento).
Elegimos esta casa por su cercania a la estacion de ski Sierra de Bejar y la verdad es que se tarda menos de 30 hora de puerta a puerta. El pueblo en el que se encuentra ubicada es muy muy tranquilo y tiene cerca varias poblaciones interesantes como guijuelo y bejar.
Lo único recomendamos ir con GPS y mirar bien la ruta puesto que es facil perderse.
Sin duda esperamos poder repetir y agradecemos a sus propietarios el trato recibido y las facilidades que nos pusieron.

Los días 4 y 5 del presente mes de enero de 2013 estuvimos en la acogedora casa rural "Las Mimbres" del salmantino pueblo de Fuentes de Béjar. La casa rural que ocupamos en esta ocasión tiene las mismas inmejorables condiciones de limpieza, salubridad e higiene que otra de la misma dueña que en otra ocasión habíamos ocupado, "El rincón del abuelo". La casa, el entorno y, sobre todo, la cordialidad de María de los Ángeles y de su padre hace que nos planteemos volver en otras ocasiones.
