The place was fine and in good location, but some things should be improved

The place is fine, with a good location-to-price ratio. It is spacious, and overall we enjoyed our stay, we would probably visit again. However, there were some things we didn’t like.

A couple of things could be improved. Given Chalkida’s known issues with insects and cockroaches, we expected the apartment to be kept extra clean, but unfortunately it wasn’t, which made us feel a bit uncomfortable. Second, some basic essentials were missing, such as cleaning supplies, extra toilet paper, kitchen paper, and an additional bed sheet. For the owners, a few suggestions: the sofa seemed quite worn, so adding removable, freshly washed covers (or considering a replacement in the future) would make a big difference. In addition, the entrance to our apartment (no. 31) opens directly onto the stairs, which could feel a little unsafe at night. Installing a barrier or automated lighting would make it safer and more welcoming.

Despite some problems out stay was good

It was very comfortable, clean and the location was good

There was no elevator and we were at the 3rd floor, the air conditioner at the room had problems and was too noisy, its placement was wrong because all the cold air was directed to our faces when we were sleeping. Three cats were always in the balcony and for that reason we couldn’t open the windows as we had our dog with us.

Spacious apartment, but needs renovation

The host's attitude was great. The apartment is large, spacious and bright

The mattress is terrible, but what's even worse is that there were cockroaches. The frying pan in the kitchen is unusable due to scratches. The shower in the bathroom is damaged and the water jet is directed literally at the wall.

Chalkida is great place to visit, you can feel local vibe, as not many tourists are there. Highly recommend

Nice and spacious, decorated to make you feel pleasant. Located in peaceful part of Chalkida.

Just some minor things, talked to the owner and she was more than willing and ready to fix that.

Comfortable and central

Big and comfortable apartment, in a central area close to many shops. The facility manager was really nice and polite , very fast in their responds and came up with a very quick solution when there was a small issue with the heating.

In times of Covid especially, it could have been cleaner. For example the sponge for the dishes was an old used one. Additionally in the bathroom the handsoap was almost empty and used as well and there was only one toilet paper roll. I had to get my own supplies.
