Cosy Vibes Central Cardiff House

The house is very clean, just as shown on the bookings website. The host Mr. Sal was very responsive and available any time by WhatsApp, which was very helpful during our stay. There are three separate bedrooms upstairs, which fit well the 4 of us. The house is close to the city center, about 25 minutes walk - we walked several times to the city center and back. The street is quiet and ideal for families, yet close enough to shops and supermarkets at the busy Albany Rd/Arabella street junction (about 5 minutes walk) where you can find literally anything you need. WIFI internet is available and very fast. Kitchen equipment are particularly clean and modern.

The house has only one bathroom/restroom situated downstairs which can be a challenge for those who may need to use a toilet in-between their sleep - walking down the steep stairs to use the toilet and back upstairs to continue sleeping may be challenging.

Great place to stay - clean, comfortable, and in a very nice, convenient, location. Everything was just as expected, and check-in was super easy. The host was helpful and quick to respond. Would definitely come back.

Good location, and permit parking, which was great. Exceptionally clean. Property has been recently renovated so is in very good condition. Sal, the host, was very friendly in person.

The heating was off when we arrived, and it took @2 hours for the house to warm up. The house is advertised for 4 people, with 2 good sized double bedrooms. But the rest of the house isn't kitted out for 4 people. There are only 2 chairs, so we couldn't all be seated to eat around the table. Only 4 plates/bowls/cutlery sets, so no chance of using the dishwasher, as we had to keep washing everything up. Only 2 wine glasses. The lighting was stark in the sitting room: side lamps would have helped. No key in the locked backdoor, which would have been an issue if there had been a fire. No guide on how everything works, what's nearby, check-out criteria etc. I didn't feel comfortable being asked for a £250 damage deposit by bank transfer (even though it was refunded in full very quickly after we had vacated the property). I think general wear and tear has to be accepted, and a smaller damage deposit would be more reasonable. Overall, a good-sized property in good condition and in a good location, but lacking lots of finishing touches to make the stay comfortable. Over-priced for what it is.
