A nice stay in the right hotel to start off a new year on the right foot !

Was an ideal place to stay for the night between the 31st of December and the 1st of January, Very close the lake and end of the year attractions with fireworks at midnight as a bonus.

Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing. The room was quite noisy, making it difficult to rest. On arrival, the fridge still contained food from previous guests, and there were towels missing in the room. I informed the staff, but the issues were not properly resolved during my stay. At this price level, I expect basic cleanliness, adequate soundproofing, and responsive service. These minimum standards were not met, which made the hotel feel overpriced for the experience. At this price level — especially for an Executive room — I expect basic housekeeping standards, better soundproofing, and effective issue resolution. This was disappointing and felt overpriced for the quality delivered.

The location of hotel was superb in the heart of everywhere.

The staff on arrival very distracted The lifts had peeling wallpaper The pillows awful way to soft asked for them to be changed and never were. Asked for kettle for room again never arrived. Room cold floor no rugs or carpet We were there for Saturday night between Christmas and New year and was really looking forward to the bar and music as we a group away together but bar completely closed not great at all for a 4 stars hotel. It was dark and closed off We were told it was because of holidays but we went there for our holidays .. it was such a shame. Not atmosphere at all no where to sit together and relax unless in cafe area but that too had lights off. No where on its website did it say bar closed. But hotel said it was run completely separate to them but on hotel website looks like it’s together.

EXCEPTIONAL

We had arrived at night after a long tiring trip the receptionist was so kind and helpful she offered a free upgrade for us as we have lots of bags and the rooms we booked were small. Even at the check out the two receptionist were the BEST. thank you for the great experience

Shocking Treatment from Reception Staff

The atmosphere in the restaurant was excellent. The breakfast was rich and delicious, and the location was also great.

I arrived at the hotel feeling extremely tired after a long day. During check-in, the receptionist repeatedly told me he would make sure to give me a room that “fits me” and that I would really like. When I entered the room, I realized he had assigned me the accessible room designed for guests with disabilities. The bathroom had an open shower, a lowered sink, and a mirror positioned for wheelchair users. I checked the floor plan and saw that it was the only accessible room on that floor. Contrary to what one might expect, the room was not larger than standard rooms, in fact, it felt smaller, and it faced the back of the building, offering no view. What was most disturbing, however, was the implied message behind the receptionist’s comments. His tone and behavior left me with the impression that he believed I belonged in that type of room, something I found deeply offensive and inappropriate. It was a shocking and uncomfortable experience, something I’ve never encountered before in any hotel stay.

Disappointing

Location is excellent, very central. Pretty nice breakfast.

1) Check-in was awful; staff were very slow and unhelpful. 2) Staff in connecting bar, used by the hotel, were very rude. 3) The hotel supplied irons in each room with US plugs - eh, we’re in Switzerland!! 4) There were no US to EU plug converters available. 5) There was no ironing board despite an iron being provided.

The bedroom has high ceiling and is well furnished. Very comfortable bed. Bedroom and bathroom are first rate and clean. good supply of water which was appreciated. Loved that windows could be open and nice and airy. Restaurant is excellent (evening) ambiance is really nice and choice of food etc is first rate. Annex was really cosy and felt very secure.

No coffee machine in room which is a basic essential (should be in all rooms/ not some) Reception area is not very welcoming, rather messy. Effectively there is no lounge/salon for guests only a small area in the reception (so not relaxing). Price varies drastically from day to day which means you may pay 150 one day and 450 the next for the same room! Whilst this may be an algorithm it does not work. All hotels in Geneva follow the same system with no consideration for their clientelle - really bad for business, I suggest this is policy is reviewed.

Everything almost perfect. BUT...

The hotel has been beautifully renovated and feels incredibly cozy. The location is unbeatable. Highly recommended.

I’d prefer not to point out anything negative, but I feel I must. It’s hard to accept that a hotel of this quality (and price) still doesn’t have air conditioning. While there was a standing fan (a bit rough), it really wasn’t enough given the recent heat in Geneva to reach a comfortable temperature, which made the nights somewhat less pleasant than expected.

There was no air conditioning in the hotel, and when we asked the receptionists to provide us with a fan, they said they would submit a request. However, we only received the fan on our last night, and we had been struggling with the heat while trying to sleep each night.

An excellent location in the heart of Geneva. We were able to open the windows.

Efficient and comfortable

The hotel is very nice and the staff incredibly helpful. There were some upgrade works being carried out to the restaurant but this did not diminish the overall feel of the stay.

I look forward to the new restaurant opening and it would be helpful to have an option of a check in earlier than 3pm - but this is not really a huge issue.

Great location, comfortable and clean base for a weekend exploring Geneva

The location of this hotel is great for exploring Geneva. Close to the lake and the old town as well as the Jardin Anglais (Flower Clock) and transport links. The hotel is clean and had a nice feel to it. The hotel staff were really friendly and ready to help. Our room was ready early which was a real bonus. The room was really comfortable and facilities were great. Good shower, comfortable bed, coffee pod machine and fridge. There is an honesty bar near reception for snacks and drinks. Would definitely stay here again.

Location was great, lobby, bar. Great bed and pillows.

Noisy and not worth the price with poor facilities

Room was big and modern and bathroom was large and modern.

We booked a superior room. The room had no fridge, kettle or coffee/tea making facilities or even an iron or ironing board to iron our clothes for dinner despite this being included on the listing ( the ironing facilities). We double checked and asked two sets of staff who all said unavailable. It was incredibly noisy on the street as there is a nightclub a few doors down. We had people drunk shouting and yelling all through the night and could not sleep. This was at night. Then during the day from 6am until 5pm we had construction opposite our room with loud banging non stop from scaffolding being put up. We were not told this would be happening during our booking and had not a single hour where we had any quiet in our room despite paying a premium price. We had to close the window to reduce the noise but then the room got really hot. Despite there being air conditioning facilities in the room we were told it was turned off until may and we could not use it!!! We had very little sleep the two nights we stayed. No fresh towels are given either. The location is central however if you are taking public transport from the airport it is very difficult to get to - you have to make many change overs in trains or buses which is difficult with baggage - we had to resort to using a taxi which increased our costs further. I wouldn’t stay here again. Staff were nice but not really able to assist. There seemed to be quite a number of other guests at the front reception who also looked quite unhappy so unsure how it has good reviews on the internet
