Fantastic place to stay in Rotterdam. I’ve been staying in Holland for more than 20 yrs this is without doubt the best place I have stayed. The room and facilities were immaculate everything about the place was awesome. Location is perfect for anything you want. Definitely recommend to anybody. We will be back.

Barely satisfactory

Liked the cabin

Too much automatic responses too little person support. Late to tell important information about the right way to enter cabin. Too much irrelevant automatic instructions got me confused. The booking process could be simpler. The check in was stuck at hosts website on approval button step. p.s. The rules on agreement the last sentences are too brief (about charging card). Even though it was irrelevant to me during rain, did not get no information on how to use jacuzzi. Maybe it was in some booklets...

Central, cosy and comfortable

So cool to stay in the centre, on a boat. Well appointed, with a coffee machine that made pretty decent coffee. The pull out sofa was not your typical sagging version, but actually quite comfy. Nice interior and a quiet street at night.

Quirky place to stay

The boat was cool and fun place to stay. Clean and comfortable.

The neighbours in the olive oil cabin partied all night till 5am in the morning and constantly set the door alarm off waking my children. 10pm-6am was meant to be quiet time. They were in breach of they booking. Was not a restful place because of that. If you hire the whole boat you will get peace.

A Great Maritime escape for friends and families!

The cabin was amazing! It was spacious with so many accommodations. My children loved being able to sleep on a boat in the harbor. There was room to spread out, a kitchenette and table for dining, the bathroom was spacious with a nice hot shower. Very clean and tastefully decorated. Very delightful place.

Access to the boat was a little scary. The kids were definitely a little weary of the ramp leading down to the boat. It was also difficult to manage with suitcases, particularly at low tide.

Best place to stay in Rotterdam!

De Coaster is an absolute dream for everyone that wants to experience Rotterdam in a special way! I could totally imagine to move in and live there :) We loved the outdoor space of the Captain's Cabin and the "living room" upstairs wich created a great outdoor/indoor experience. And the heating worked great in every room! The kitchen was equipped with more appliances than we needed and we cooked twice a day! Definitely big enough for a couple (+one or two toddlers).

If you look for mistakes you can find a little bit of dust here and there but it is super clean :) Since there are several restaurants directly next to the boat it can get noisy sometimes.

Spiders at night, i'm very arachnophobic and there was a passive spider during the day, 6 spiders at night that were very active and moving across the boat.

Convenient location and unique experience.

Central location. Close to city center and main tourist attractions. Also it's conveniently close to a supermarket and the boat does have a functional fully fitted kitchen.

As it is in the city center the location can be quite noisey specially on weekends. The door lock keypad didn't work properly.

Lovely experience to stay on a "woonboot". Location was nice and central, easy access to musea and restaurants. Deck upstairs was lovely.

Spare bed was adequate for 10 year old but not fantastic.

Fun, cosy, original, authentic

Unique, original and fun. Also nice with kids! In the heart of Rotterdam, in the middle of the wijnhaven, next to the maritiem museum. Close by everything in the city;-)

It was a novel place to stay the night, and the boat was in a good location.

For the price, I would have expected the furnishings to be a bit nicer. Everything looked a bit tired, and not very clean. Bedroom and bathroom were ok, but the living space especially was very 'used'. Ok, but expected a better quality given the price. Also the smell from the drains was awful, but maybe that's just a boat problem.

...allein auf einem Boot - gefühlt U-Boot mit Bullauge auf Wasserniveau. Auf geringstem Raum alles vorhanden, was man zum Wohlfühlen benötigt. Hunde erlaubt!
