Cosy Little Hyde Cottage, Swanage

This is a delightful little cottage and it is so well designed that it feels cosy but has everything you need, communication was excellent and some fabulous extras like top end toiletries , thank you Stephen

Nothing springs to mind . Need to be mindful about parking spots but never bothered us

We had such a wonderful stay at this cosy little property in Swanage—it truly felt like a home away from home. Tucked away just a short stroll from the beach, it offered the perfect balance of peaceful seclusion and easy access to everything we needed. Waking up and knowing the sea was only minutes away was such a treat, especially for relaxed morning walks along the shoreline. What really stood out was how close it was to the charming village centre. We loved wandering into town, browsing the local shops, and stopping off at the lovely cafés and restaurants. Everything felt so friendly and welcoming, and having it all within walking distance made the stay completely stress-free. The property itself was full of character—warm, inviting, and thoughtfully set up. It genuinely felt like a home from the moment we arrived. On the evenings we chose to stay in, we really appreciated how well-equipped everything was—the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals easily, and the house had all the comforts you could ask for to enjoy a cosy night in. It was also absolutely perfect for our three-and-a-half-year-old daughter, who completely fell in love with what she kept calling the “holiday house.” It was so special to see how comfortable and happy she felt there—it really added to the whole experience for us as a family. Swanage is such a special place, and this property made it even more memorable. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing coastal escape with a touch of charm.

I cannot think of anything negative to mention about the property or the wonderful host.

Great location - good food in the local pub ( Black Swan) We were able to parks outside every day.

Beds a little small as mentioned in other reviews but all good other than that and was not a showstopper!

Very well equipped,everything anyone would need had been provided. Parking could be a problem

Television reception unpredictable due to a fault of aerial lead. No lighting in the bathroom. Simplified instructions to operate central heating would help. These quite important problems spoilt our stay.
