The house is a large mansion a few miles south of Tzintzuntzan overlooking lake Patzcuaro. The house is absolutely beautiful and very interesting architecture and the view is incredible. It is however a bit solitary and not very easy to find. The rooms are very beautiful, and we had a balcony overlooking the lake. Stunning. All in all the stay was fine and an one we will certainly remember, but we would have enjoyed it more if we had known what to expect.

The description did not really match the place. There is for example no restaurant, and there was no option to buy breakfast as stated in the description. This was a bit of a drawback as we had driven all day and had hoped for a warm evening meal and an early breakfast before driving again all day. Instead we had to drive back to Tzintzuntzan to get some simple tacos at the plaza there, and we had to leave next morning without breakfast, or even coffee. It also felt a little strange that we were all alone in the mansion after the person who received us left and before the night watchman came (we only saw him in the morning). This gave the luxurious mansion a somewhat spooky feeling instead of being cosy and homely.
