Yala Beach Bungalow And Resturant

The Private Beach. There were 2 rooms, 3 tourists, 2 staff and 4 dogs. They also arranged the safari, private jeep. Excellent views. If you want a private beach don't hesitate to just book this. We saw The Lunar Corona at night from the bungalow yard & captured it.

The location to Yala national park was great for the 5:30am tour. Also near the temple and a short hot walk to a swimming beach. The location is beach front however the waves are too wild to swim at this time of year (August). Our host Raji, made sure we had a good breakfast whilst on the safari that he arranged for us. The traditional food on the menu was very tasty and the breakfasts were huge in size and great ++. The rooms had good air conditioning and a large basic style bathroom. We were provided with ample bottled water as it was very hot and dry in Karinde. The villas are older style and could do with some freshening up but that said this is a rural area and the accommodation and price reflects this.

The shower had mostly cold water and no water pressure on hot.

Raji and his team were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Breakfast and dinner (we ate here 2/3 nights) were super delicious (fresh!) as were the snacks and milkshakes we ordered during the day. All this in an amazing setting right by the sea. Our room was spacious and comfortable with generous bathroom and lovely terrace with view to the sea. Raji could not have done more for us - arranging our laundry to be washed, a tuk tuk ride and boat trip on Tissa lake to see birds and a ride to a spa for a massage. We also loved the bathing beach with life guards and cafe and looking at the busy working harbour beforehand. We would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Daily sweeping of the room would have been helpful though not essential (sand and geckos).

This place has been a proper mixed bunch for us. Beautiful location Close for Yala safari Food was good. The staff very accommodating , on the last night they lit a beach fire and served our food over looking the sea.

Sometimes we wished the owner would just leave us be. No body checked the room for rubbish or toilet roll Be warned you need cash to pay the bill. If you want a beer then buy your own on the way in, the nearest shops are miles away. We had a couple of power cuts (not their fault i know, but one was off most of the day !)
