We had an amazing time enjoying the humpbacks, butterflies, and the beautiful ocean. Pismo never disappoints everyone is friendly and the food is divine! The turf in the front had cigar and cigarette butts on it which we picked up before sitting out there. And the back patio we didn't use because it was not clean either. The house worked great for 8 of us.

Good kitchen and dining space with plenty of room and seating. Location is perfect with off street parking. Close to everything. The pictures need to be updated because the new living room furniture is much better than pictured. Internet was not working when we got there so called to troubleshoot and still could not fix it. Found out later from the tech that it was old equipment and all had to be replaced. We had people working remotely but couldn’t get it fixed for 2 days. Service guy did come at 8:00AM on Sat morning and took care of it. Only other big issue was the master bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress was hard and sagged in the middle so with 2 people you were constantly rolling into each other (just saw another review noting the same issue with the master bedroom mattress). Also the bed frame creaks loudly every time you move. Had to go to Walmart and buy a mattress topper and pad to help soften it a bit and make it sleep-able for the remainder of the trip. Also there were some light bulbs out, not sure how housekeepers miss them. Overall it worked and being able to walk everywhere was a huge plus.

We called about the wi-fi and had quick response.

For starters, the location is absolutely amazing. Not only is it 2 1/2 blocks from the beach/pier it’s a stones throw away from all the great restaurants and shops. We did not have a problem with any noise at night. The house itself is huge, three good sized bedrooms in the main house, then the in-law unit outback was perfect for our kids. The shower in the Master bedroom was amazing, dual showerheads on each side of you was exactly what I needed after a long day of living Beach life. We will for sure be back.

You can’t ask for a better location than this! The pier is 2 short blocks away and you are right in the middle of downtown! Awesome bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The house is comfortable, quiet, and spacious.

We really enjoyed this house. Great location and plenty of room for the entire family. We had a small issue and the management company was very responsive. I own a vacation rental and know it is hard to keep up on everything if tenants don’t let you know of any issues. I was very impressed with how quickly my issue was resolved.

Great little patio in the back for meals and games. Inside very well furnished. Close enough to the beach. Nice to have driveway parking that can accommodate 4 vehicles. Only issue that we had was that the refrigerator wasn't working well when we got there. These things happen - the upside was that Coastal (and the owners) jumped on it quickly, tried once to fix it, and when that didn't work, they immediately had a new one brought in. Moral of the story is that these are also great people to rent from. Potential renters should know that the tradeoff for a great house and location is that the traffic noise can be bothersome for some people. didn't bother us and the house is air-conditioned in case you are bothered. All and all a great base for a wonderful vacation experience.

Great location, very clean, nice and spacious, but did have a few shortcomings: 1) No sharp knives in the kitchen - everything was dull to the point where we struggled to cook what we had intended during our stay. 2) The propane grill in pictures was replaced with a charcoal BBQ, not the end of the world, but an unexpected change to the menu we had pre-planned. 3) Property does not provide any beach towels - every other place we have stayed this close to the beach did provide, so we didn't bring any. Apart from that, it was a great place and we had a fun week.

Communication with the rental property was smooth and easy, very friendly. The house was bigger than expected and had a nicer layout for our group of 8, we came to celebrate my dad’s 60th birthday. It’s on a busy street but it was 2 blocks away from the Pier and everything you need, and you can’t hear any of the outside noise when you are in the house. Backyard bbq was amazing and front yard with table and chairs made breakfast in the morning sun so enjoyable! Already looking to book here again in the summer :)

Upon checking in we did a quick walk through of the property. The property space matched description put up on VRBO.com. We sat down for dinner while taking out bowls, dishes, spoons, forks, pots and glasses noticed that majority of them were really dirty. Most of them were dirty to the point that we had to put them to be washed. There were plates and bowls with quite a bit of mold growing on them and we were not able to have our dinner till we could clean them. Later on, when we opened the dishwasher to put dishes, bowls, glasses and cutlery in for a wash, we noticed that the dishwasher interior was very dirty with food stuck all over. This experience continued next day morning when we took out cups for coffee and they were dirty as well. Toaster was really dirty as well. We had to buy paper plates, bowls, spoons, forks, knives, and cups. This did deflate the experience and fun we were trying to have during our vacation. It seemed that the kitchen was not cleaned at all. It was expected that these basic things will be found clean. The bedroom that is separated from the house in the backyard had bad smell when we opened it the day we reached and had to leave the door open to air it out. Rest of the house incl. other bedrooms and bathrooms were clean as one would expect.
