About this house rental
The old house on stilts was found in the North of Kompong Thom province, in Sandan district, a village where the owner has family links. It was moved recently and is a new addition to the property.
The garden cottage is a family suite of 80 sqm with a large terrace, 2 bedrooms, a dressing room and a shared bathroom. It is located in the orchard of the property and surrounded by mango, areca palm, and wild berry trees.
From the terrace, you can enjoy the view of the century-old trees of the neighbouring Ecole Francaise d’Extreme Orient and watch the colours of nature changing at sunset.
There is a twin bed bedroom which can also be turned into a living room and a double bedroom with a beautiful antique Chinese bed.
The style of the decoration is inspired by the rubber tree plantations cottages which were hosting planter families in Kompong Cham and Kompong Province in the 1930-1950s.
