Guestling Hall Hotel

We have stayed at the Guestling three times and it's excellent value for money, with free parking and breakfast included. The staff are great too. Recently, we noticed the tiles in the shower cubicle were very dirty and the bathroom had an unpleasant smell! Also nowhere to put toilet bags. Other than that, no complaints.

Lovely old house and ditto decorum, spacious rooms. Good breakfast. It's an old house so there's bound to be noises. We didn't mind.

We arrived to a warm welcome and were very early, as we wanted to spend the day in Hastings. No problem to park our car and we set of for the bus just up the road. The hotel is very welcoming with its lovely decor. Our room was no 8 at the front of the building facing the road, we were not disturbed by the traffic and the curtains were black out so we didn’t have light streaming in . The room was exceptionally clean and the bed linen very fresh. The bed was very comfortable, I had a goods nights sleep. We had a walk in shower in the bathroom which again was extremely clean. The towels were white and fluffy. The atmosphere is so relaxing and the lady on site was very attentive , friendly and welcoming. This was our 2nd stay and we will be back. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices. We had the full English which was cooked mini and with good quality products. There is a Beefeater just up the road for food. We look forward to staying again , hopefully soon.

Very accommodating for dog although others guests may be not so thrilled to have dogs there. Could do with a little clean up of cobwebs around windows, lampshades etc. and maybe rethink African/voodoo decor as it's a bit creepy. Sometimes less is more .
