Ideal Property Mallorca - Finca Toni

Spacious and comfortable, great outside area and pool was the perfect size for us. The location is almost perfect, short walk to Alcudia, easy to access Puerto Pollenca and Pollenca. Spotlessly clean.

The one bedroom without air conditioning was very hot and uncomfortable at night. There were a few ants in and around the kitchen.

A really beautiful villa in a nice location- centrally located between old town and the port. Access is via a narrow lane however we never encountered anything other than a moped (luckily) during our one week stay. Reversing back on to the driveway is the easiest option! Lovely grounds which were well kept, with a number of fig trees, beautiful Hibiscus plants and a lemon tree. The pool was cleaned out mid-week and topped up and was out of access but only for an hour or so. The villa was a lot nicer than I was expecting and felt very roomy for our family of four (two children aged 2 and 6). It was generally very clean however our feet or socks were always dirty- perhaps better cleaning of the floors is needed. Downstairs there is a double bedroom and a separate lounge area with a double sofa bed, as well as a lounge, hallway, kitchen and what we call the "room of requirement" (basically a room with cleaning supplies, extra glasses and beach towels). Upstairs there was a twin, the bathroom, and a further double. There is a veranda too but no furniture to sit out there, no cover from sun and the area generally looks a bit unkept and not particularly welcoming so we didn't use. The kitchen was small but reasonably well equipped. Oven gloves would be a good addition however! Very peaceful spot- we had an incredibly relaxing week away and we would return. I would however prefer a villa with air con throughout, and more transparency about the damage deposit not actually being fully refundable as it's for electricity usage. Not damage at all!

The property is advertised as having air conditioning throughout but this is not accurate- there is air con in the lounge, the upstairs double and the downstairs double only. This wasn't idea as we were planning on using the twin for our children and all sleeping together on one level. We instead ended up using the downstairs double, putting the kids on the sofa bed and then closing the door between those rooms and the kitchen in the hope the air conditioning would cool their room down (which it didn't really). If we were travelling with more people, I would certainly expect all rooms to have air conditioning. Before arrival, it transpired that the property is owned or looked after by a travel agent type company called IPM. Dealing with them was fine however the 100 EUR deposit which booking.com say is for "damage" actually is a down payment on electricity usage. Meter readings were taken on say of checkout, and we had about 50% of the damage deposit back. I don't mind paying for what was used, but this should be advertised accurately. I felt this was a bit of a swindle. The upstairs double bedroom had no working lights, though the AC worked. We did not flag as we ended up not using this room (due to lack of AC in the twin as mentioned) and didn't want to be inconvenienced during our stay with this being fixed- it should have been checked before our arrival. The pillows in the upstairs bedroom were pretty awful and there were no replacements. I would suggest these are replaced as they are incredibly flat and offer no support. Some of the sun loungers in the garden had also seen better days- one constantly got stuck fully flat and another was broken and so provided not much support or comfort!
