Resort-Style Gem w/ Pool Access: 10 Mi to Dtwn PHX

When I had an issue it was hard to find someone to help me.

It was a good location in Phoenix. Nice kitchen and outside patio area to sit at. It was great to have a garage to park our car in. We didn't end up checking out the pool or use the bikes although the bikes looked good.

This was the first time I attempted to stay in someone's home instead of a hotel. I thought it would be more space since we were staying for several days. The space was fine, but I'm not sure it was worth it. It was difficult to find the front entrance to the townehome. It was unclear that the entrance was on the OUTSIDE of the gated community and threw us for a loop for about 20 minutes. Once we found the entrance, things were fine and we found the keys. After travelling for hours (we were driving) it was disappointing to arrive to a strong smell that we could only surmise was cigarette smoke (this is listed as non-smoking). It wasn't fresh like a nice hotel and I ended up with a headache within the hour. We were advised to light candles to help with the smell. This helped for the most part. My 17 year old son had to sleep on the hideabed couch which was so bad I ended up buying an air mattress for him. The last issue was no hot water in the master bathroom. My SO attempted to take a bath in the very spacious tub, but could never get any hot water. It was warmer than ice cold, but barely. I ended up taking a cold shower.
